they realize that things are just going to keep deflating. They need as much money as they can get their hands on to try and ride this deflating bubble all the way to the bottom.

are actually pretty silly imo. They scour the net and return back info on the most talked about things the search engine finds. I know, i know, it's like lindsey williams, TOTALLY correct ALL the time!! However, I would proffer that it's quite easy to throw the web bots off by allocating a small team of people to chat up/bot forums and other such things on the net to skew the results the web bots return. Basically, the whole idea that accuracy can be achieved via web bots mechanisms can pretty much be tossed out the window.

That's what I heard them talking about on CoasttoCoast one night. The bot only goes to certain sites they're interested in. They won't tell anyone what sites they check, so there is less chance of tampering with the chatter.

Do you actually think there are teams of people out there doing this just to mess up the web bot? Seems a bit far fetched, but I suppose it's possible if there are enough people who really have nothing better to do.

ya, my understanding is pretty limited but from what I do understand it doesn't seem like a very reliable way of getting reliable information. It's cool to see what it returns, but should be accepted with the understanding there are several different things that could be done to *skew* the results.

don't get me wrong.....I'm not being anti just to be a douche. I just take things that are supposed to somehow magically *know* about future events with a grain of salt. I think a healthy dose of skepticism is actually more beneficial than harmful in many regards.

Sierra ooops, bad_karma.....unlike you, i only have one, the same one I've been using for however long Ive been here. (since late 2007 i believe). Initially you and I got along but then you started rubbing me (and obviously a few others) the wrong way with your belligerent attitude, excessive spamming and overall immature way of conducting yourself on this forum.
A prime example of that is right here in this thread. The snarky remark was completely unnecessary and those types of personal attacks are something the owner of this forum has asked us to refrain from. Out of respect for the owner of this site, if you have nothing nice to say plz2stfu. kthxbye.

you and i could talk about a certain subject and coordinate a team to do the same thing across several *hot spots* on the net. That spreads and before you know it, web bots are putting out *predictions* of a major *event* occurring. Then it's like reading tea leaves or other such things where you could pretty much turn whatever may occur into what you want to believe the web bots to be talking about. Basically projecting what you think events mean onto the web bots to reinforce your desire to have some sense of control or *insider* info that others lack. To me, just knowing about the philosophy of liberty and voluntarism is enough *insider* info for me to last a life time.

Remember when they predicted a New Madrid earthquake
Right after we had a big discussion about that fault on here? I can never find raw predictions, just commentary about predictions.
