American slaves now content in their chains

Aldous Huxley said this back in 1932 when it was not too late to do something about it...

"A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude.

To make them love it is the task assigned, in present-day totalitarian states, to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and schoolteachers."

By slaves I mean that the government has decided that they own ALL of what we earn and decide on how MUCH they will let us keep (i.e. Federal income tax) which should NEVER have become an amendment to the Constitution.

Our founders would NOT have allowed that to happen because that is EXACTLY what they fled England from (also known as: Tyranny).

The Laws Are The Enemy

-Every law brings with it a benefit to one group and a disaster for another. The tyrrany of the law is unknown to most Freedom Lovers. Every law brings it with a beuracracy and every bureaucracy, needs money (taxes) and comes with cops. Jefferson picked foggy bottom because he thought the legislature wouldn't want to stay there very long. There used to be biannual legislatures so that they couldn't do much damage. Laws need to be repealed, not enacted. It is the legislatures that are at fault in our present condition. It should not be ..."if there is something wrong, we need a law."

Getting them to stop (perhaps impossible) is the only thing that will prevent armed insurrection.

Read Bastiat's, "The Law". It is a must. "All law is plunder".

I am in complete agreement with the following statement.

You say above that "Laws need to be repealed, not enacted."

That method and end is THE ONLY reason at all that I am still interested in the political process.

And I agree, The Law by Bastiat ought to be read, re-read, then read again by everyone.

All law is plunder indeed.

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul

"It is a mistake to suppose

that all men, or at least all Englishmen, want to be free. On the contrary, if freedom entails responsibility, many of them want none of it. They would happily exchange their liberty for a modest (if illusory) security. Even those who claim to cherish their freedom are rather less than enthusiastic about taking the consequences of their actions. The aim of untold millions is to be free to do exactly as they choose and for someone else to pay when things go wrong.........The collapse of the British character has been as swift and complete as the collapse of British power." Those are the first words of the Englishman, Theodore Dalyrmple's book, Life at the Bottom.

This sounds like America, where we have also sown to the wind and are reaping the whirlwind.

When federal/central government was created in 1789...

...it was understood by the founders that the 13 individual colonies would be giving up SOME sovereignty in the interest of a national defense made stronger by unifying than it would have been with each individual state defending the new country on their own.

BUT...

They knew the gravity of establishing a central government with too much power and so imposed all the rules of the Constitution to CHAIN and BIND government to its proper role.

So yes, we all agree that TRUE freedom - where there might not even be STATE governments or LOCAL governments, may allow for more INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM (ie; No taxes), it would also allow much more crime and we may have to stand guard outside our homes day and night to defend ourselves.

The PROBLEM is that the federal government has overstepped its proper roles of defending the country and upholding the laws (mainly the constitution).

And each generation gets more and more government programs created and seems to feel OK about it and sadly even uses the argument that closing these programs would cause loss of jobs WHICH NEVER WAS THE INTENDED ROLE OF A GOVERNMENT.

All government jobs are NON-productive and only suck the lifeblood from those citizens who are.

this thread.

The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.

Wasn't Huxley a student of H.G. Wells?

And wasn't Wells essentially the visionary for the Fabians?

I don't know...

...but his quote and book were very insightful and fortelling of the now.

When I was in highschool we had to read "Brave New World" but I'll bet today the government (Dept of Education which should be abolished) doesn't want students to read things like that.

That is why the American sheeple are being lead to the (economic) slaughter and sacrificed for political (99% of Congtress), corporate, banking (Federal Reserve) and military/industrial gain.

"HAPPY IN THEIR SERVITUDE"

Really sad, sad, sad.

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

Huxley

Aldous Huxley was part of the elite class, he knew the agenda. Americans are PROUD of their chains, PROUD to pay taxes PROUD to ask permission from the government for everything from getting married to building a shelter. It is the arrogance of duped slaves who have been made comfortable in their servitude, that really disgusts me. It argue with ignorant mind controlled American idiots about the simple concepts of Liberty, how discouraging. We all must cast off our conditioning and live as free men.

"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent."
Thomas Jefferson

I agree.

With the exception of the word liberty ( which means permission ) I want FREEDOM!

Absolutely

Libertarian, liberty, and, libertine are all French words they don't convey what we want, which is Freedom--a word that has no twists and is an Anglo-Saxon word.

Wow,

very powerful words. If we could just penetrate the minds of people and get them to realize this is happening to us.

Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.

The slaves aren't merely content, they LOVE their master!

Sad, isn't it?

Proof of content in their servitude...

...in the U.S.S.A.
