Get ready, America: Great Depression 2.0 Author who predicted current crisis shows why it's 'only the beginning'

I feel so sorry for those who are not prepared. I suspect we are about a year or so from a complete collapse.

Many have warned of this day coming, but few would take it to heart. Now I'm afraid for those who are out in the cold already, how will they survive.

May God bless everyone here at DailyPaul.

How could the outcome of fraudulend money be otherwise?

I have posted reference to this M3 money supply growth data before, but I will post it again for reference:

http://www.nowandfutures.com/key_stats.html

Look at the year on year rate of change. It is about to go negative. This is in spite of a doubling of the monetary base since the Federal Reserve Bank began responding to this panic over a year ago. If this isn't pushing on a string, I don't know what is. The Fed has the pedal to the metal, and the engine only sputters. Banks, instead of looking for credit worthy borrowers to help them expand the money supply, tighten credit standards and slash credit card limits (or outright close accounts) for a considerable number of customers who regularly pay on time.

And in addition to the Fed panic injection of reserves into the banking system, you have the huge stimulus package pushing the US government debt levels up at unprecedented rates to astronomical new heights.

And with all that, unemployment continues to rise (real rate near 20%); the FDIC is cleaned out from bank failures; the housing market is poised for a second tsunami as the "high quality" home loans move into a three year period of increasing resets.

At least Obama is doing his share to stimulate the economy by personally consuming $500 per bottle wine, $100 per pound steak imported from Japan, and having live lobster flown out to Idaho on a government jet for him to dine on while out pushing his takeover of health care by the federal government, all at taxpayer expense.

I think the assessment of depression is quite accurate, especially when you look at the pressure the economy is under from the dawn of the age of very expensive energy.

I think your estimate of being a year away from a complete collapse is very accurate, and the pain from that collapse will drive us even closer to revolution.

"The deepest sin against the human mind is to believe things without evidence." Thomas H. Huxley

The transformation

of our lifestyle could come swiftly and many may be caught with their pants down.

Those of you who have taken the necessary steps are just hedging your bets just like a good stock trader.

There are many situations worldwide currently that could escalate and cause a panic to the public. Middle East war expansion... another major terrorist attack in America or Europe. My wife thought I was nuts until she watched a 2 hour
History channel program giving details of the missing enriched uranium materials from the former Soviet Union. Who really knows the time table of such an event, but they made it clear it will happen. Sounds like the Jihadists want 4 million of us dead... eye for an eye thing.

The department of home land security has a plan in place should key cities be destroyed and it won't be a nice world to live for a time.

The hornets nest has been stirred, who's fault is it?? does it matter..
The damage is done. Every man for himself/ be prepared just in case.

Depression, what depression.

Average Unemployment Period Hits All Time Record High Of 6 Months
Tyler Durden's picture

(see graph)
The length of time the average unemployed has been without a job has just passed an all time record 26 weeks. This is the longest time average unemployed American has been jobless since this data series has been recorded. In other news, as this data point is obviously unspinnable positively for general consumption, expect the dollar to shortly hit zero, as the stock market approaches to reach infinity.

The article is not news, sounds just like RP & Peter Schiff,

still good to hear others talking about it finally. I noticed a pretty neat solar powered battery back up ad on that page. Looked expensive for what you get, but curious if anybody here has anything like that. I'm thinking of getting a permanent exterior generator that runs on my existing natural gas tank... anybody have thoughts or recommendations? TIA.

Anyone else here think the stock market is going to take another hit tomorrow? After the DJI closing at -109 on Friday, I am for some reason seeing a further decline in the markets tomorrow. Thoughts?

Big bank went down

this weekend, news leaked to insiders.. reason for drop.
I trade backwards now.. the common folk with common sense say it should drop so I buy.

Much more room to run up... drop will come after xmas seasonal sales tumble.. oh wait... they may be down but not as bad as we thought.

Love is my religion

Could be a rocky Monday

Oil Bourse going online too. I've been googling the news feeds, and very few writeups on the subject. All articles were coming off foreign news services.

I don't feel sorry them.. I

I don't feel sorry them.. I have been on here for over 2 years urging people to prepare for a total collapse.. I have been called a fearmonger etc etc etc.
The thing that sticks out in my mind is all those very stupid people had to do was look at the facts. If they really wanted to take the time to research, they would have seen what is coming very clearly.. Those who call them selves "optimists" were always the ones to call names and ridicule first.. even after last fall and what we see now they still want to believe their lifestyles won't change.. They call Lindsey Williams and old koot, they say Ron Pauls and Peter Schiffs views of an Inflationary Depression are wrong.. What it comes down to is that there are people who can't accept what is coming so they deny any information that goes against their will.. they can't for some reason move in a direction to shield themselves and their families from harm.. they have been warned, they chose not to prepare, and I don't feel sorry for them at all. I feel sorry for their wives and children.. It is the Mans responcibility to provide for his family. When they see thier families suffer because they were being stupid, they will look back and say.. damn those guys on the daily paul who warned were right.. to he who has ears let him hear.. to he who has eyes let him see..

You remind me of Jack Lemmon in "Grumpy Old Men".

Ticks me off

All the people I've given notice to, the info I've given, and then informed them that we are stocked, locked, and ready. They all say they'll be coming to my house when shtf. Instead of preparing for themselves, they think I've done enough to prepare for the dozens of people we know. If I followed their thoughts, they just took our one year survival stock down to a couple months. They go out to dinner at $200 a night, buy whatever they want. Throw money away left and right. We have been frugal and saving and preparing, spending triple monthly on food stocking and other survival gear.
Sorry for the rant, it just ticks me off, our idiot clueless friends who think when it all comes to shit they can come here and live off what I've done , all the work I've put into it, for their survival. Moochers.
Anyone else in this position?

Colchester, New London County, Connecticut

Yes!

And it pisses me off too. I tell them to start growing food and they say they'll just come over and eat mine. Of course these are relatives, so I can't really say bugger off.

I've learned to just keep my mouth shut now and try to educate the masses rather than "friends".

yep exactly.... I have

yep exactly.... I have prepared for my 2 brothers and their families along with my parents.. there is not enough time and money to help all friends etc.. I am regretting when the time comes when I will have to turn friends away... that time is coming..

has nothing to do with that

has nothing to do with that buggy... I want to see my feloow American survive.. I want to see my Country brought back to the way it was.. I want to see the Republic again. Has nothing to do with patting yourself on the back.. ita all about getting this once great nation back on track period.. but some people just seem to care or want to help.. like the other post.. Most are happy drinking beer, watching football, not caring about morality, or anything else..

Karma I have to agree with you.
I have said it for 2 yrs. "It's a comin" 3 of our 6 kids think mom is crazy with all the food in the basement. My dad thinks I have gone a little over board.
Wonder what house they will head to when all crashes...?
I have finally woke my hubby up...now he's sticken up for me full speed ahead.

The only thing we can all agree on is
Dr. Paul...

Columbus, Platte Co. Nebraska

Everybody in the history of the world

would have thought it crazy to not have a basement full of food.

good for you! when a

good for you! when a husband and wife are on the same page that is a huge victory... it is not hard to prepare.. some people just do not have the mental capability to see into the future.. My granpa told me to prepare for the worst and hope for the best... that is all you can do.. if 50% of the American families would do that we would come through this thing with much less effort. but for some people they do not read history and they do not think bad things will happen here.. what people do not understand is that we are under Gods judgment.. as a nation we say it is ok to murder and defensless baby in the womb.. we say that perverse alternate lifstyles are ok and its a matter of "choice" we think it is ok to sit and stare at porn and its freedom of speech. its ok for a man to have an affair with another woman and vice versa... its ok for the rich bankers to steal from the people ... and on and on.. with liberty and freedom come great responciblity.. MORAL responciblity... most of the people I do not see eye to eye with on this site are atheists etc.. and this is the proble, The USA is coming under Gods judgment... believe it or not...

Spot on.

Be not deceived, God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. Gal. 6:7. That goes for nations, too.

The masses...

will be overwhelmed when the SHTF! They will be shuffling their "plastic" money and heading off to the ATM's for the last few FRN's that they call their own. After that they will be headed to the local grocery store only to find empty shelves. It's going to get ugly and not coyote ugly either!

don't let bitterness consume you

Most folks here are as prepared as they can be, or they are trolls. Sadly, the trolls are probably better prepared than most of us... they seem to have a pretty secure paycheck ;) Out in the world are all the people who are still under a spell, a deep spell. You need not pity them, but you need not bear them any ill will, either. I am not a Christian, but there is certainly truth to be found in the Bible... "Let the dead bury the dead" comes to mind.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.
