Let's see how many people want to vote for a guy who campaigned to release a convicted rapist who then went on to rape and murder two more women.!
Sounds like Hackmeister is indirectly responsible for two rapes and murders. PLEASE get this video out to Huckabee supporters so they can see who they are supporting! And I say Buh bye Huckabee!! GO RON PAUL!

I looked into this issue more closely and it is not a legitimate issue to bash Huckabee on.
The parole board freed the man. Also, the man was castrated by gangsters and there was serious questions on whether he committed the initial crime.
We can find plenty of other reasons not to vote for Huckabee, we don't need to stoop to the low road.

Huckabee's Son Tortured Stray Dog According to Blog
What I read was a blog that said that the dog was hung, had his throat cut and was stoned to death. Did not want to give the gruesome details here, but it was not an ordinary incident according to what I read. Please forgive me for going into the details,but I don't think that this young man's actions need to be minimized if he actually did such a thing. No charges were filed and Mike Huckabee said that the charges were politically motivated.

17 year old victim was a distant cousin of Bill Clinton and her parents were prominent Clinton supporters.
Clinton-bashing right wing elements of the media (do I hear 'vast right wing conspiracy?') promoted the idea that the rapist was an innocent victim of Bill Clinton.
The case for Dumond's innocence was championed in Arkansas by Jay Cole, a Baptist minister and radio host who was a close friend of the Huckabee family. It also became a cause for New York Post columnist Steve Dunleavy, who repeatedly argued for Dumond's release, calling his conviction "a travesty of justice." On Sept. 21, 1999, Dunleavy wrote a column headlined "Clinton's Biggest Crime - Left Innocent Man In Jail For 14 Years":
"Dumond, now 52, was given conditional parole yesterday in Arkansas after having being sentenced to 50 years in jail for the rape of Clinton's cousin," Dunleavy wrote. "That rape never happened."
A subsequent Dunleavy column quoted Huckabee saying: "There is grave doubt to the circumstances of this reported crime."

His campaign said they expected this to become an issue. I'm sure they will move into damage control soon. They'll probably do some misdirecting like the magician that Huckabee is... "Ok so the first of you that has never made a mistake cast the first stone." ...The point is his complete lack of judgment and not listening to his advisers who begged him not to pardon the guy.

These are not Christians but deluded people
People have always called themselves by certain names for social benefits. This is what is happening today in America. I am a Christian philosopher who has long studied religion in America. These people do not believe in the bible, they only believe what they want to. For example, most of them ignore that fact that the bible's main message is victory over sin in this world, see a few verses for example: Matt 1:21 "and He will save His people FROM their sins."--not in their sins. See also 2 Cor. 7:1 and Titus 2: 11-14. It is somewhere in the high 90% range where most professing Christians reject these clear words of this historical document called the bible. Fancy that, the real Gospel or Good News is not that we go to heaven but that Christ came to save us from our sins here in this life, that we could be like Jesus "in this world," 1 John 4:17, yet these 'followers' say that Jesus' words are a lie! The only way to justify all the lying and sin is to make Jesus Santa Claus and the Bible selectively relavent for social and political comfort. This is what they do and it caused me to become a hardened skeptic growing up in that hypocritical Baptist church (just like Huckabee's). It was only later that I overcame my prejudices and realized that the hypocrisy was worse than I thought because the truth was right in front of these people's eyes all their lives. Very Dumb indeed my friend. Fake Christians if we are allowed to consult what the bible clearly says and what these people admit about their own characters.

Christians that support Huckabee are just like neocons that support Bush or Giuliani. They've been deceived and haven't looked into matters. They simply take what sounds right to them. It's not that they are dumb, it's that they are uninvolved.
