Do we have anyone to run against Harry Reid?

He's really vulnerable, the race is wide open and Dr. Paul did quite well in the Nevada primary.

Reid is one of the least objectionable Democrats out there, which is likely why he's held onto his Nevada seat for so long. Problem is, he's such a beltline insider now, and as majority leader pretty much compelled to be his party's face outward. So he will champion and vote for whatever lunacy his caucus comes up with, which is double dangerous with a Democratic president as content riding along with his party's lunatic fringe as Obama.

Tactically, as things stand now, even a horrible Republican would be better than the actually pretty agreeable Democrat Reid, as we'd get more of a chance for Senate gridlock. And considering how universally bad all legislation is, the less gets enacted, the better. Of course, a good Republican, or independent, would be the best, but increased ability to block legislation from reaching Obama until that happens is still a move forward. Which is why Reid has to go.

Wayne Root supposedly might run, but as a Libertarian, if he is considered as part of "we." With Reid being the figurehead for much of the nonsense emanating from the national Democrats, he is definitely more vulnerable than ever in a traditionally Goldwateresque conservative state like Nevada. Doesn't help him much that his army of unionized Las Vegas hospitality workers are shrinking faster than one can say bankrupt casino.

I doubt that. Even though now being nominally a Libertarian, his base is still disenfranchised GOP. If GOP mainstreamers run a somewhat conservativy sounding candidate, he'll probably just work on securing the 2012 Libertarian nomination.

Also some very interesting news coming out of the NV republican party. They have found the ballots from the Republican National Convention that got shut down due to the amount of votes Ron Paul was getting. They are doing the counting this friday. I am on the email distribution list being updated by Wayne Terhune so will post any updates they provide on the counting.

Counting will be at the Washoe County republican party headquarters and so far this has been pursued by Dr. Wayne Terhune who is one of the leading Ron Paul supporters in Nevada so they should have plenty of people confirming an accurate counting.

However, I don't live in Nevada. By the way for the comment about trading the majority leader for a "newbie," Reid has always won close races, and running against him makes as much sense as candidates with no political experience running against Chris Dodd in Connecticut or Trey Grayson in Kentucky.

Reid's possition as majority speaker is POWER for NV, just as Pelosi's postion is POWER to CA and why she raked in 72%.

When it comes to POWER, parties mean very little to the neocon/neoliberal agenda, espacially out west where Arnold Kennedy nee Schawrtzenegger rules, with Igor's like Issa, backing him in this dictatorship.

After what I saw NV GOP do, and that includes the King James is the only bible Tehunes/dividers, Reid has an easy win. And that's good for NV, not the GOP, that deserves to die.

But then as the majority leader in the Democratic Party, under a Democratic Executive administration, it would be self defeating for NV to give up that POWER for a newby with no connections. Go for it.

NV always has CA to lean on, which is how NV got native boy Reid in the game in the first place.

I don't live in Nevada. However, I will produce at least one free one minute, broadcast quality video for any liberty candidate that runs. I've already made quite a few for the Retake Congress House candidates.
