Turkey, Iran & Israel
Turkey is distancing itself more and more from 'strategic ally' Israel, and by that, alligning itself with Iran. Today Turkish PM Erdogan landed in Tehran for a meeting with president Ahmadinejad. I bet this visit makes Israel really nervous, not to mention the US and NATO.

There are several issues here:
1) Iran has started to trade oil in euro's on the international market, this week, which further undermines the position of the dollar as the world reserve currency.
2) then there is of course the nuclear issue: Erdogan has recently said that Iran poses no threat and the west are being a bunch of hypocrites in critising Iran for having a nuclear program, while they remain silent on other nations who are known to have nuclear weapons (most notably of course Israel).
Meanwhile an answer is demanded from Iran on the latest proposel by the west to curb Iran's nuclear program. A negative response from Tehran - some analists say - could mean war between Israel and Iran, even at the end of this week when the deadline expires.
Besides those two major issues there are plenty of implications to draw from a Turkish-Iranian front against Israel, which seems to be in the making.
For example, what would NATO do in case Israel and Turkey somehow get into armed conflict with eachother? Will NATO help Turkey in that case, as their own principles dictate??
What are your thoughts on all this?
Peak Treaty
I think we have approached peak treaty - we have so many over-lapping treaties that if war breaks out, we will need a gaggle of lawyers to figure out who to bomb.
If international inspections are desirable to reduce nuclear proliferation, then shouldn't Israel also be threatened with sanctions?
Should theocracies be allowed to have nuclear weapons? Of course I'm referring to both Israel and Iran.
