Oath Keepers - Ready To Protect
http://www.telegram.com/article/20091023/NEWS/910230399/1101
The annual commemoration of the April 19, 1775, Battle at Lexington Green — with its “Don't Tread on Me” slogans and tea dumping tax protest — seemed a particularly auspicious time for Celia S. Hyde to join Oath Keepers, a new group dedicated to upholding the U.S. Constitution.
It also helped that Ms. Hyde, a retired Bolton police chief and owner of the Stowaway Inn in Stow, had a room available for Patriot's Day weekend, when an official from the national organization came to give a talk on Lexington Green.
Now the Massachusetts director for Oath Keepers, and a member of its national board, Ms. Hyde said the goal of the group is simple — to abide by and protect the Constitution.
Although it mostly comprises current and retired police officers, military veterans, and active military personnel — including some high-ranking active duty troops in the Middle East — she said anyone can join.
There are no membership fees, but donations are accepted. Ms. Hyde said Oath Keepers is nonpartisan.
“It's all about protecting the rights of the people. We don't want our rights to be stepped on,” she said.
The state chapter, she said, has been busy organizing rallies, lectures and other events. It held a Constitution Day in September at the Statehouse, when members met with state legislators. A current key Oath Keepers state effort, she said, is to oppose a legislative bill dealing with pandemics that would require mass vaccinations against illnesses such as the H1N1 virus.

Why not "Oath Breakers"?
You'll notice that most OK's are retired. They got religion AFTER they kicked enough heads in and now realize their guns might get taken from the cops who are still employed. Yes, they can really "protect" us now that they are out of a job. We protect them by paying their tax-eating pensions.
Here's an idea- how about forming a group called "Oath Breakers"? Some of the principles members would have to adhere to are as follows;
1. Stop fighting in unConstitutional wars
2. Refuse to obey any orders in unConstitutional wars
3. Rescind any loyalty to the "commander" in chief (you know, "hail Caesar! Those that are about to die salute you".)
4. Refuse to use a taser
5. Refuse to wear a black uniform.
5a. Stop shaving your head and wearing freaky sunglasses.
6. Refuse to participate in the "war on drugs"
7. Actively inform on cruel and inhuman soldiers and police officers.
8. Refuse to execute any warrant that is part of the Patriot Act.
9. Confess that you were a megalomaniac and desired only POWER.
10. Here's the big one- confess that you aren't God but acted like you were.
Any other ideas?
I really think that's a great start.

join the army or marines for 2 years, then come back and post this.
most of us are simply put into situations where we fall back on our training to live, we don't wear black uniforms, we don't use tazers we dont shave our heads or wear freaky sunglasses, we keep our hair short so it doesnt interfer with our head gear and the sunglasses are for eye protection, all are balisticaly rated.
I never had any megalomanaic desires, I just wanted to get my mission acomplished and head back to base!
of course, this comes from a military point of view, i can't comment on police personaly.

I just became an oathkeeper the other day
Now i get bombarded with emails. ontop of the emails i get from cfl, meetups ect ect... oh well.
I was happy to see the state i live in now, nc, is doing well with active and motivated members. Also happy to see my home state, ny, is also doing well with over 300 members.
I am actually quite motivated to buy a bunch of aj dvds and oathkeeper pamphlets and handing them out to the 2 marine bases in the area.
People are receptive to this kind of material
