DP Money Bomb Update

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Daily Paul moneybomb to upgrade the site. I finished writing out the thank you cards last night, and sent them today. Here's a couple pictures of all the cards and a few stats.

We raised a total of $7,873 from 208 contributors. There were 185 via the chipin,, 9 by mail and 14 from the donation page that bypassed the chipin.

Donations came from 8 countries and 40 states. Texas and California tied for most donations with 20 each. The breakdown is as follows:

AL (2), AR (1), AZ (2), CT (3), CO (5), CA (20), GA (3), FL (14), ID (1), IA (2), ID (2), IL (8), IN (5), KY (1), LA (1), KS (1), MS (1), MO (2), MA (7), MD (6), MN (6) MI (8), NH (2), NE (1), NV (3), NC (4), NY (5), NJ (9), OK (2), OH (9), OR (6), PA (14), TX (20), TN (3), UT (1), WY (2), WI (2), WA (7), VA (4), SC (1)

There were 8 donations from Canada, 4 from Australia, and one each from the UK, Brazil, Finland, New Zealand, Portugal and Poland!

Thank you everyone! If you don't receive a card, please let me know.

NCMarc has donated hosting through his company Falcon Internet, which is where the new site is being developed. Falcon internet will also be the new permanent home of the site.

There won't be a lot of visible changes to the site, at least not initially; we're putting a new infrastucture in place. I'll have a preview in a couple of weeks.

Thank you all for your continued support of DP, Ron Paul, and the cause of liberty.

Michael

Thanks for the card.

It wasn't necessary but it was appreciated.

I'm late...

but better late than never. My donation was mailed today. Please use for future site maintenance or -- better yet -- a nice bottle of champagne to celebrate such a wonderful personal success!

The chip-in ended Oct. 31st, so you should still be able to

For some reason, we're expected to know every law that exists in America & in our state so we don't break it. We're supposed to know this when we're 18. There's no litmus test for them, as in the 10 commandments or rhyme or reason. C.U.R.E. Thank God for bugs, they're company for people in solitary confinement.

send in a donation until then & feel like you contributed. If this chip-in doesn't take it, mail it in. I'm sure he won't mind the extra donation, getting a postcard will be the hard part. I much prefer the postcards over letters. MN marketing the website to postal employees.

I wasn't expecting a thank you card,

so I was pleasantly surprised. This site rocks!

I have a suggestion, Michael

If a moderator deletes threads, deletes posts, changes titles, or bans users, there should be a notation by the what was changed with the date, mod's name, and a reason why they took action. I think this could be beneficial for the DP in many ways.

"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle." Sun Tzu - The Art of War

Much more to come!!!

Michael,

I'm sure you know that as we can afford to we will continue to support your efforts.

You are an American patriot of the highest order and we thank you for this wonderful site.

Keep it going!

Michael

I look forward to receiving your thank you card. Here's mine to you:

Thank you.

From the bottom of my heart.

The Daily Paul is the bomb!

Is there a place to donate for Ron Paul for president for 2012?

Do we have to wait for RP to officially start running before accepting donations?

If so, I have a special piggy bank (account) set aside to start saving.

You do know that the first official money bomb for RP 2012 has to be enormous....so that the media can't allow him to be swept under the rug.

Fire up that piggy bank!

Fire up that piggy bank! And get ready to break it around January 2011.

Care to tell us what you know?

No Surprise

Thanks for all you do Michael!

It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone here that we can raise money online. I visit this site daily, no pun intended. A small donation to upgrade was some well spent FRN's.

Regards,
Jim

Thanks Michael, in

sharing this with us. It's like a celebration party. Thank you, to all the Daily Paul family near and far, it makes our journey less difficult knowing we have a place we can check in and analyze what is happening in our world.

The key point is that the average donation was only $30.

Every little bit helps.

Now I feel a wee bit guilty.

I guess that is the Catholic in me.

WAHOR!!
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/48994

Yeah, why would you feel guilty?

I'm short on work right now, and dropped 100. Other people that were out of work at least kept the thread bumped. Not even a blip from you.

In fact, I have never heard a peep from you about a donation for anything or anyone. Surprising since you are always bragging about how smart and successful you are at "the market", offering your "predictions" and such.

BTW, how are those Olympics coming in Chicago?

In fact the ONLY thing I have seen from you are cheap shots at candidates like Kokesh, and other decent ideas people were working on. I guess that makes you feel better about what you are.

I would be willing to bet you haven't contributed a DIME to anything, So why feel guilty?

Why guilty?

The goal was $7000.

There are over 400 people on the forum right now, including guests. There are plenty more people who come here besides those showing right now, but using just that 400 figure, $7000 divided by 400 people comes out to less than $20 each.

Some people gave more, some less. It worked out. No reason for any guilt. :)
