Go VOTE in this NPR poll: Obama v. Fox. We are winning but need to make it a runaway!
Submitted by ausscyn on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 20:16
Fortunately, most of the comments on this poll have it right. Go vote early & often & lets trash those who would erode our First Amendment.

we = Fox?
I don't think so
The mainstream media doesn't have a channel for us, yet.
These polls are more ignorant propaganda bullshit.
They are designed for the ignorant sleeping masses to allow them to feel as if they have an opinion or control. It is a waste of our time.

Are you expecting me to defend Fox?!
After Sean Hannity's trashing of Dr. Paul, and the entire network marginalizing him? I no longer have cable, and don't want it back any time soon. Fox, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, who needs any of them? I've gotten my headlines from Drudge since 2001, tell me again why you think Fox News is so important? Just because they're 'the network of 9/12ers'? Just thought I'd put my two cents in, this is a total waste of time.

who exactly is "we"?
Faux News or do you have a mouse in your pocket...I am never to be considered a "WE" with faux news. The obvious answer is number 3.
idk...
"Fox News on this one; it asks questions others don't and the White House should be able to handle them."
I voted this way even though the three possible selections are pretty lame, and indirect:
"the White House should be able to handle them.". Why did they add this? The controversial aspects of what fox covers, that the white house will not respond to, are not aspects to be "handled", unless they are making a reference to the Italian mobs ole way of "handling business".
Of course they can't "handle" the questions, and allegations. The only way to "handle" it, would be to admit to an unethical campaign, and presidency.
Voted number 3
They are both playing this for gain.
Obama wins over his ring-kissers
Fox wins over it's hypnotized viewers.
Besides.."The News" is supposed to report it, not become it.
I did support the other networks walking out when fox was singled out of the press pool. Because they are all bad apples.

I voted #3 "Theyre both shit"
Obama is actually correct. Faux news is not news. if they were news then they wouldnt have been reading white house scripts on air for the last 8 years.

I think the NEO-CONS..
are trying their best to take over this site.
well you can win them over
Or throw them out.
I prefer the civil approach.
Speaking as an ex-neocon.
Had people treated me the way we treat some folks here, I'd probably still be defending Bush. Thinking that those Paul People are a-holes.

While fox
has been using better language lately, I am tremendously suspicious of them and their Palin love. To them she is a libertarian, utterly ridiculous. They did bring in Stossel which was a very good move, but their audience will reject most of his ideas as too radical. Even if fox wanted to move in the right direction, they are dragging a huge ball and chain called "their audience" and until American largely reject liberal republicans fox will be handicapped in supporting liberty. At least they are giving a voice to it though. I voted neither at this point, although I was horribly in the minority.

Considering how overwhelmingly
biased toward Obama NPR usually is, it's encouraging to see its poll tilting away from approval of the Administration's targeting of FOX (whether you like FOX is not the point; singling out its bias for censure and approving only the bias for Obama is dangerous in the same way the blackout of RP was dangerous during the campaign.
Okay,
so what if most of the country agreed with Obama & Fox lost so much advertising it wasn't able to broadcast? Yes, I HATE what Fox did to Dr. Paul, but right now, they are the only news channel that does seem to report the news fairly. How many of their talking heads have given Ron a decent chance on their shows? How many mention him? I shudder to think if all we had was MSNBC & CNN.
lol
Please turn off your television.

"seem to report the news fairly."
I must be watching the wrong Fox. The other networks give RP good airtime too. "Fair & balanced"... what a joke.
are you serious
"so what if most of the country agreed with Obama & Fox lost so much advertising it wasn't able to broadcast?"
You mean conservatives wouldn't have FOX to tell them what to think and people might start thinking for themselves and...Obama would be helped by that?
I don't particularly care if Fox and the whole GOP establishment vanishes from the face of the earth. Or, I don't care if MSNBC & CNN and the Democratic establishment vanishes from the face of the earth.
Either way we'd see reality. We'd see the government for what it really is, no more right blaming left or left blaming right. The buck would stop.

who's "WE"??
There's something VERY wrong about defending Fox, after they banned Ron Paul from their debates during the campaign. Reminds me of an old southern saying: "Hell NO, we ain't forgitten".
Maybe you meant go there and vote for the 3rd option: "Neither side. They're both trying to play this "feud" to their advantage." That's how I voted...
"neither side"
option 3.

American public officials
American public officials should not as a matter of policy shun the news network more Americans prefer to get their news from than any other, regardless of how they treated Dr. Paul.
Media as a matter of policy...
should not shun certain presidential candidates that have raised more money and shown more popularity than other candidates.
