We DID win in Nevada! The ballots are FINALLY counted.

Digg It!

Tonight, the ballots were retrieved from the lock box at the Peppermill Hotel/Casino, where they were sitting for over a year and a half after the Nevada State GOP convention of April, 2008. The story is below, but the upshot is that WE WON! and our slots at the national convention were stolen from us.

Sure, she's a hawk, but we hope to change that.

Oct. 31st, Nevada celebrates its statehood. It happened in 1865, & we're real proud of our connection to the Civil War. Anyway, we always have a GIANT parade in the capitol, Carson City. Sue Lowden was in the parade today, riding on the back of a Mustang convertible. Usually, the parade is a very noisy thing with bands playing & people shouting, but when Sue rode by, in front of the Capitol building, it was dead quiet. I just wish I'd had the cajones to yell what I was feeling about her & how she ruined our party with her corrupt decisions.

A couple of things that weren't covered in the article:

The Terhune and Weber familes went to St Paul just before the convention to petition the RNC. The RNC came down on their side & even issued a pretty harsh statement about the Nevada leadership, but this was never covered much by the press. Nevada's "annointed" delegates got the seats on the floor. Also, the NV GOP is in big time debt, & I wonder if some of this comes from their trip to St. Paul. Anyway, the Terhunes & Webers spent a lot of money & time to go to St Paul & present our case. The Terhunes had put on the second convention in June that continued the convention that was illegally recessed in April. We elected delegates & did EVERYTHING according to Robert's Rules of Order & party rules. We were ignored. The rules can never be broken again like this. By now, most of us know what is kosher & should SPEAK UP when we know shit is going down. We did go to court & the judge essentially said he had no jurisdiction over party squabbles.

This time, the ONLY way we are going to win is if we control the GOP. You MUST get elected to your State Central Committees & then elect an executive board that is made up of "us." Then, you tell every third party person you know that they MUST register Republican for the primary. That is the strongest blow they can strike for liberty. We MUST win in the primaries.

The most important question to ask now, is "how did ron paul win that district?" i spent some time reading about how ron won one district in NH in 08. it seems that there were some young people who spontaneously worked to canvas the district, stay in touch with the people there and discuss the issues and the candidate. What activities were going on with regards to the paul campaign (official or spontaneous) in that NV district where he should have gotten 3 delegates from? these are the tips that can help for 2012, whether the candidate is ron paul, rand paul or anyone else who stands for real change.

I'm guessing they were knocking on doors, talking to people, and repeating the process over again. and probably buying up some newspaper ad space as well. same tactics as the NH group and a few others around the country that won districts for paul. that's what it takes; a very reasonable cost considering the benefit that could have been achieved.
