Don't buy anything the day after Thanksgiving

Need a good reason to participate? Coming soon to a Corporatist State near you:

So, never mind the messenger. When someone speaks truth, stand with them. When they take right action, act with them. When we can join forces with the false opposition, we are making the voice of truth stronger. If you own a small business, take the day off. You deserve a holiday.

My Lord.....

Did any of us imagine the day that we would be reading an article by Larry Flynt and saying that "BOY, he certainly gets it!" The message of freedom and the understanding of what has been going on is certainly spreading amongst all sectors.

How about don't buy/rent anything from a non-privately owned

store? My wife is accustomed to sleeping inside, and my son has developed a habit called eating.

We need to get back to privately owned family business's in America. Boycotting us isn't going to accomplish anything, cause most of us can't afford it. However, the big chains can.

I agree with ODellEquip

don't boycott a family business, unless there is a real valid reason, like bad service etc. I have boycotted doing business with chains as much as possible, which isn't easy being that they are trying everything possible to eliminate the small family business. But I definitely search out and look for the family business and people making there own products. I always thank them for what they are doing because I know it isn't easy.

Boycott corporations.

I agree boycott corporations not family businesses. Spend locally and keep neighbors working.

Excellent...

that's the route we attempt to take...it's nice buying things from people you get to know and trust.

That is why I have backed Nader all hese years

I don't agree with Nader 100%, but I like how Nader organizes grassroots for liberty against tyrany.

It would be 25 years now....

Many accuse Nader of basing his entire Y2K campaign on a much more substantial whopper than Gore’s story about his arthritic dog or Bush’s claim that he pushed for a patients’ bill of rights in Texas. They question Nader’s insistence that there is no real difference between the two major-party candidates. “It’s what do they stand for versus what do they fight for-I discount the rest as linguistic differences,” Nader said. “Anyway, my phrase is that there are few major differences.”

Nader said he was not impressed by pressure warning that he could hurt his reputation as well as his causes if he was seen as having helped elect Bush. “I waited in 84, 88, 92, 96,” he said bitterly. “It’s as if the Democrats are telling us, ‘Wait another four years, then ask our permission.’” Then he said the way the two parties cozied up to special interests and encouraged a concentration of power made all other distinctions meaningless. “I don’t care if they’re different on everything else,” he said.

What made Ralph run?

For the first time in his experience, Nader found himself ignored thoroughly by a Democratic administration. Nader and Clinton did not meet a single time in the course of eight years. Al Gore also turned a cold shoulder.

As for the Clinton-era Congress, Nader found that he was a pariah, even among the most liberal members. In 1997 Nader was invited to speak before the House Progressive Caucus, but only 5 of the 50 caucus members even bothered to show up.

From Nader's standpoint. the icy reception in Washington was proof of a serious drift among Democrats. They had pilfered the Republican agenda and called it their own--a process he termed "protective imitation."

The doors were shut, tighter than ever. As he did during the Reagan years, Nader went to the grassroots, but there were limits to what could be accomplished. Nader wanted to have a say on weighty national issues. But more than ever before, he found it hard to get any political traction.
..................................
Nader is being censored, while I see Democrats taking up Nader's talking points.

Nader has fought the corporate government duopoly of power for 5 decades, and without the help of Corporate pornographer, Larry Flynt and his John Wayne statue in front of the FLYNT building on Wilshire and Olympic. Flynt claims he took a bullet for the first amendment. Flynt took a bullet for publishing pornography.

I agree with you about "never minding the messanger", so let's focus on the message. Nader's message is far more suited for the rEVOLution than, "Don't buy a Hussler magazine subscription the day after Thanksgiving Larry Flynt".

WE ARE GOING TO WIN!

the huffington post link in this thread...

is nothing short of spectacular, it reminds me of the fight we are involved in and just who is the enemy...the rockefellers, the kissingers, the related scum of the world are working against us and we should bring them to trial for treason!...they will, someday soon, taste the foil of our anger

they know not whom they have sought to enslave, they are old men, wrinkled and weak from a life of luxury, we are bold, emblazoned, and full of life and we will destroy their charges soon after their last breaths have been drawn...

...bump for the truth, please read!

Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.

I'll do it!

I won't be able to afford to buy anything that day anyway - so it will be the easiest thing I've ever done for liberty. Btw, I could probably abstain from buying anything that whole weekend! Anyone with me on THAT?

Sounds great, I'm with you all the way...except...

it would be nice if you'd all take a moment and buy a pair of shoes from one of my family owned stores because we really need to make payroll that week....

Am I sympathetic or gullible?

Do you seriously have a family owned shoe store? I REALLY want to start networking with Patriots. The Mormons around here support each other's businesses, we ought to be doing it too. It works.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

Great idea.

I buy.

That WOULD be great, wouldn't it?

I wish I could help you out. Really.
