Since when has drafting a candidate been a problem?
How many of the current liberty candidates were drafted? And of those, how many are being received favorably compared to those who came in on their own accord? If I recall, a founding father talked about this idea of drafting candidates to run for office as it was the will of the people to put the person for the job forward. The person with moral judgement and integrity to hold the office. Of course we can decide not to encourage the creme of the crop to run and keep settling for the corporate backed candidates. We all know how great that has been for us.

Bad call
I first heard of Ron Paul in early 2007 from non other than Alex Jones. Which in return set a local grass roots movemnet for Ron Paul. I got everyone I knew to listen to him and they all ended up supporting Ron Paul. So General Jones has done his part and taking that away from him is wrong, sorry.

Paul will go the distance in 2012
Whether you listen to Alex Jones or agree all of his views or not, he makes a good point here. I also think Ron Paul should throw his hat in the ring sooner than later for 2012. It seemed during the last campaign, too many people didn't know enough about Ron Paul, but only knew what the mass media projected about him, only saw the attack tactics used against him during the debates, and his supporters in the movement were portrayed as the fringe. Dr. Paul opened many people's eyes by running in the last election even though he didn't get elected. His efforts and everybody's efforts in the Revolution has had a great impact....the 2010 elections have been bearing the fruits of our labor. However, there are people giving Sarah Palin credit for the change in voting we are seeing and taking credit for what Ron Paul and his supporters did. This is wrong.
Ron Paul should announce that he is running for president earlier so he get more exposure, be very pointed and take credit for his efforts, have more time to qualify his views, have a huge money war chest, and gain even more solid supporters before anyone else even has a chance. The debates shocked many people, like his stance on the war, because they did not understand where he was coming from. The time in the debates did not give him enough time to qualify his views and interviews at the time the debates are happening are subject to heavy mudslinging and spin doctors that are working for the elite establishment.
There is no doubt that Ron Paul can get enough support between now and the next election to go the distance to become the next president of the United States. We can't allow Sarah Palin to steal his thunder and make sure that the best she can hope for is becoming Ron Paul's running-mate....if Ron Paul could even could consider it.
This has been, and will be, a long battle to get RP into the presidency. Restoring the Constitution and a country of freedom, liberty, and republic is well worth it.

I think Paul should act a bit more like a Presidential candidate
Last year, I sincerely think Paul ran to make a splash...that he really didn't think he had a chance. I think he was just as surprised as Hannity that the people responded to him like they did. After that, he did a good job changing his tune and rally up the revolution.
But this time around, we *all* know that Paul has a real chance of winning. And we need to act like it.
I'd like Paul to:
-use more rhetoric like "when I get to the white house", "when I'm elected president", etc.
-announce who his VP and cabinet would include
-how exactly he would handle issues: troop removal, department of education removal, income tax removal, Fed removal, etc. Will legalizing MJ and prostitution be a high priority? (I hope not)
-stay away from craptastic shows like Alex Jones...every time he goes on that show, he loses credibility.
And let's talk seriously about how the markets will punish us if Paul gets elected. We need to be ready for that.
I should think the markets would
be very positive about a Paul election. At last signals would be truthful. We'd be moving toward less waste, an end to inflation, end to favortism. Goldman Sachs and cronies would hate it, but the real free market would surely be bullish.
The markets
are not markets, but rather reflections of the elite mind set. They manipulate the 'markets.' The 'markets' don't operate the markets. That is why they can throw a real tantrum when Dr. Paul takes the presidency.

I'm not a huge Alex devotee, but I don't dismiss the part he played in helping RP get the response he had.

Alex Jones did not
Play any part. Many of Ron Paul's voters were attracted to him from his debates, especially the debate in South Carolina where he sparred with Rudy Giuliani. DO NOT LIE repeatedly that Alex Jones created this movement. He did influence 9/11 some crackpots who foolishly Ron Paul assuming that the Congressman is a truther, which he is not.
So the problem is, the true traditional small government conservatives will be more willing to support him and some did. But many have left, because truther kooks have scared them off. Also the gun nuts, the birther idiots etc who have chased away genuine Paul supporters.

Whoever you are, you can continue to ignore that 6 of the 10, 9/11 commission members stated that they were stalled, lied to, and refused vital evidence for their investigation.
You can continue to ignore that the LEAD counsel of the 9/11 commission has recently written a book exposing the 9/11 commission report as a fraud.
You can continue to deny that RON PAUL HIMSELF said on the AJ show that half of his support came from his listeners in the beginning.
You can continue to throw around silly high school labels like "truther" and "birther" etc., but it just makes you look like more of an ass than you already do.
