Winston Smith makes a good point, even if he's not yet aware of it. Mainstream, to the mainstream, means normal, regular, and predictable.
I'm often torn between referring to them as the Dino-media -- as in large, clumsy, mostly brainless, and on the verge of extinction, or as the RINO-media -- as in Reporters In Name Only, since they have long since jettisoned any semblance of objectivity and have embraced their preferred role as advocates and propagandists for centralized state power.

i think it's a good point!
The power of words can be immence and if we correctly label them and we all start using the term...it can be a very powerful signal.

Your comment was exactly correct ---- folks, we ALL need to do this! I have been using only "Corporate-Controlled Media" in all my blog posts, and I strongly suggest that everyone else do the same.
