This is all theater if those funny voting scam computers are being used. Ask
John DeCamp a Nebraska state senator and the author of "The Franklin Cover-up" and "Conspiracy of Silence" (watch these videos online they're important) Mr DeCamp was a 70% candidate for state senate where paper ballots were used and lost the districts where the computers were installed.
Whatever polls say, if they paint us without chance or on the top, we should not pay too much attention to it.
Haven't we learnd that in RP's presidential bit ?

Got to hand it to the Revolution, we do know how to support a Paul.
The rest of the work has to come from the ground team in Kentucky. The GOP is weak and they are using some extraordinary effort behind the scenes to derail our efforts and disrupt what we have built. Their implosion is soon to follow.
Kentucky could be the next state to host a race where the GOP's grassroots rebels against the party establishment.
Rand Paul, the son of former presidential candidate Ron Paul, has pulled into the lead in the Kentucky Senate race in a new SurveyUSA poll, ahead of the establishment favorite, Secretary of State Trey Grayson.
Paul now leads Grayson by three points, 35 to 32 percent, the first time he’s led any poll in the Kentucky race so far. It’s not the first sign that Paul stands a credible chance at an upset: Paul raised over $1 million in the last fundraising quarter, significantly more than Grayson’s haul.
Grayson has been supported by Republican Senate leadership in Washington -- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and NRSC chairman John Cornyn headlined a fundraiser for his campaign in September.
"Kentuckians know we can't just lie down and let our government steamroll over us and that's why we are supporting Rand Paul in greater numbers,” said Paul campaign manager David Adams. “Rand's credibility on the issues is very solid and his campaign will only get stronger as he becomes better known.”
The SurveyUSA poll also contained a surprising finding in the Democratic primary: lieutenant governor Daniel Mongiardo leads Attorney General Jack Conway by 11 points, 39 to 28 percent.

He needs to remain the underdog in voter's minds. The trick is to be an underdog with a chance of winning. If he gets out in front, some voters may vote against him, thinking he's the establishment's choice.
We don't want to peak too early. However, it should make fundraising easier for him.

Sorry, figured I'd add a little humor for all you family guy fans out there.
But yeah, I definitely disagree about Rand needing to remain an underdog. When has being a front runner ever persuade the majority of voters to vote against them? The only people who pay enough attention to vote against front runners because they think they are an establishment choice are people in our movement. Obviously these people know very well who Rand Paul is, so we don't have to worry about them changing their vote. The majority of bone head voters out there will say, oh this guy is the front runner, so I should vote for him. This is great news in my opinion!
It's pretty obvious that even the GOP doesn't stand for the principles Ron Paul (and Rand) are extolling. The last soundbite of the newscast mentions that they (the GOP) are scrambling to get somebody in the race that will deflect the momentum of Rand Paul. That's despicable! This is probably the most significant race in modern history. Sure, they cast Ron Paul aside pretty easily in the presidential race, but his message got out, and people want more of it! Now, if Rand can capture a mighty Senate seat, whoa, that's big. One State at a time. Maybe Schiff can make run in MA. The Ron Paul message is loud and clear, even over the drumbeat of the dumb ass GOP. Come on Kentucky, make history!
Name recognition.......thanks to who? All of US......that's who. Pat yourselves on the back. What do you think Ron Paul's name recognition is this time around? Who is Ron Paul? Remember that? People have heard of him now. This is going to get interesting.

One thing we can do is "groom" any friends/family of ours who live in Kentucy to support Rand Paul. I'm sure there are other ways... but that is one small way that could only help.
I think it is because of the way Rand Paul campaigns. He goes every where throughout the state talking to the people. It is the way the message must be spread. If it was possible or Ron to do the same thing nationaly he would run away with the vote. The key is spreading the message personaly to individuals. It will make it alot easier if Rand and Peter can get elected atlesast there would be 2 states that already get the message. It just takes alot of campaigning. Look at Rands campaign compared to Peters. Rand campaigns every where about every day and look at the poll results. Peter needs to follow suit.

Your insight is not only applicable to Rand Paul's success so far, but this movements growing influence. I am convinced that all political movements that demonstrate staying power are, at rock bottom, energized and spread through grass roots efforts. I didn't learn about Ron Paul's political philosophy through a TV ad or a media talking head. I was snapped out of my slumber by a web-site where people I communicate with and respect were having a conversation that I simply happened upon one day.
Likewise, I have had great success in simply engaging my friends and family in discussions (I need to restrain my passion at times... it gets out of hand). Within my immediate circle of family (actually quite large) all of them are on board and would vote for a Liberty candidate in a heartbeat. But as little as 18 months ago, none of them had even heard the name "Ron Paul" and "Libertarianism" was a catch-all phrase for the disenchanted. What a difference each of us can make right where we are.
