Sick: Newark, New Jersey 11/3/09
Submitted by Buzz on Tue, 11/03/2009 - 20:48
I was in downtown Newark New Jersey today. If you are not familiar, it's a low income, moderately dangerous place.
A car with loudspeakers blaring Obama saying "Elect John Corzine" going around the block, over and over again. Obviously, Obama is still very popular in the projects. I thought it was a sick display of Corzine using Obama's influence over the inner city areas. It is my guess most of these people would not be voting for Governor at all if it wasn't for this.
I don't think Presidents should be allowed to campaign for anyone.

TRENTON, N.J. — Chris Christie, an aggressive former prosecutor who racked up a perfect conviction rate in public corruption cases and became the darling of New Jersey's Republican Party establishment, has unseated the deep-pocketed but unpopular Gov. Jon Corzine.
Christie, 47, on Tuesday became the first member of his party in a dozen years to win a statewide contest in heavily Democratic New Jersey. President Barack Obama invested heavily in the race, campaigning with Corzine five times on three separate visits.

Glad to hear
you're back safe. Newark, oy.
Colchester, New London County, Connecticut
Thanks!
I had to duck at a stoplight and pretend nobody was in the car, but other than that and the Obama car, I felt pretty safe
Looks Like Corzine's Going To Lose.
At least, based on the exit polls.

With Obama's popularity declining...
...it could backfire.
Not in downtown Newark
I don't think people watch the news there, they just remember "yes we can"
I almost fell over, but there was a puddle of homeless scuzz, so I caught myself right before I went down.
Furlough: Is Tony Imperiali still there?
He ran a pretty tight ship in Newark as I recall.
I use to live in Orange, and I can only imagine the state of the large cities in New Jersey now. Camden, Trenton, Patterson, New Brunswick.....Do you think the same kind of media megaphone blitz on cars in going on in those cities also? They are praying on the poor.
Do you believe that Cristi will make a difference or will he be more 'big talk' and continue the corruption?
I think Tony died
but Newark has a new Tony, Cory Anthony Booker, who suggests you call the cops if your neighbor has a gun.
I can 100% guarantee this same scenario is playing out in Orange, Paterson, Camden, Trenton, Princeton, New Brunswick and Jersey City.
I can also bet safely this is not happening in the middleclass suburbs because it would have the reverse effect.
I honestly don't know enough about Christie, but I know plenty about Corzine. If you were the only one running and worked for Goldman, even as a window washer, I will vote against you, even if the job description is "window washer"
Christie has taken a pretty big stance against pre-Kindergarten public schools, calling them babysitting. I know people who take advantage of the system just so they don't have to get daycare. It's gross, but it's how they were raised.
Christie was interviewed yesterday by Levine.
He made a lot of promises like tax cuts!!! if you can believe that!!!
NJ is the highest taxed state in the country. He also said NJ's budget is $4B more than neighboring PA, if you can believe that!
You need to Go Galt and get out of there!
Take care, and I hope that Christie gets the win. If he wins, then hold his feet to the fire as Jesse Ventura says. He is ahead at the moment.
Funny thing is
I just moved back to Nj after 5 years in Southern California. I jump from blue state to blue state. I'm stuck here for at least a year or two, but I'm still considering New Hampshire. I'm gonna go Galt anyway
cheers
Go Galt?
Go Galt?
JBPT: Here you go.
You should know about this.

Thank you!
Thank you!
Funny thing re: Christie is
Funny thing re: Christie is he was endorsed by Murray Sabrin who was endorsed by RP but RP endorsed Lonegan. Go figure.

That is the government dependency shackles , then they will breath the freedom of liberty.
