Our LOCAL candidates LOST!

...but I attempted to LIFT us all up!

Without getting downcast; we ALL need to keep in perspective that we are likewise a 'social network' of like-minded individuals - now, no longer apathetic, but seeking to impact the "political landscape" at the local level.

I have been on the "political" journey for only TWO short years now; having jumped on the Ron Paul bandwagon - naively thinking "I could make a difference".

Well, suffice it to say, I haven't won anything - but I have made an impact, and have in fact "made a difference" among those who actually CARE.

Through putting my personal "worldview" out there for public consumption, and inviting ridicule unto myself; I have learned how stubborn I can be; and perhaps, what hills are NOT worth dying on.

ALL of us need to run for some publicly elected office, and FEAR NOT what others may think of us...nor, weigh our "realistic" chances against the "establishment machine".

There really is no "thought police" out there...just juvenile adults controlling the majority of our governmental offices, and our educational system...so, we should press on with the same values, public meetings, and agenda; and ENJOY each others company every step of the way as we continually get together, make new friends, and influence people!

It may take a WHOLE generation for Michigan to go from the standard 68% Democrat, to a first time victory of 51% conservative...and so, towards that end, we must lay down our lives and continue in sacrifice our selfish whims, and love of creature comforts, for the young people in our community now who cannot vote, and the succeeding generation of Americans after we are gone.

The people have been granted an opportunity to vote themselves largesse from the public treasury - either tax breaks, or welfare; the government has grown large enough to BOTH give us everything we need, and TAKE everything we have.

We are to voluntarily educate the general public, at NO COST to them; the things we know to be true, believe in our hearts, and can access easily from our nation's history. If we run for public office, we will draw a crowd - and little by little - inspire people to do the same.

I will never concede defeat...I have been stung with the bi-polar emotion to "quit" the team because things aren't going my way - or - I cannot shape the "movement" to my liking and personal preferences...but something slaps me upside the head, and humbles me; that wakes me up to the fact that I am still only two arms, and two legs; equally created, and one individual designed to work ONE specific function within the mechanism of change...not run the whole thing...just lend my time, talent, and treasure to promoting the TRUTH!

Kevin Williamson, deputy managing editor of National Review; while on Glenn Beck Monday, said 80-90% of incumbents will be re-elected...Michelle Bachmann's call to come to Washington D.C. Thursday will be of NO EFFECT - just like the 9/12 Tea Party march was.

The entrenched money-masters and politicians will continue to pass social programs and entitlements that they cannot financially maintain, nor that the people will allow them to eliminate.

So, again; the only glimmer of "hope" is what I heard on Morning Joe Tuesday morning, from Joe Scarborough himself..."the national party bosses DO NOT control their base anymore"

We have a goal; instill within a major political party/force, TRUE conservatives; committed to the Constitution, and the morality, boundaries, and recommendations of the founders...and then seek to influence or war with "bigger" districts...up to and including the state chairmanship.

This is a long-term goal...and as long as we maintain a reverence for the Creator in all of this...we will KNOW we are not opportunists and sellouts; because we are practicing what we preach in that we ourselves are restraining ourselves from the vices common to man that CORRUPT our politics, our media, our entertainments industry, and our churches in some instances.

Two things I recommend reading...this article that appeared on the Daily Paul...that essentially says the political reality of America is that our government will simply continue to grow unto it's own implosion - because there is nearly 35,000 lobbying groups(well-funded, with lawyers on staff or ready to go etc.) in Washington D.C. that still ONLY seek to grow the size of government even more...and, the other article is a "gubernatorial platform" I wrote, fantasizing that I would go on a bus tour all over the state of Michigan preaching Liberty, Freedom, and Limited Government.

We are a united group, under this cause; there are many dragons to slay - perhaps too many to count - as long as we do not "eat our own", or unite under error, or cave to the same greed, and power-hungry covetous vices that control our politicians now - we will succeed in "changing the political landscape"...which is all we can hope to do.

There is a market, and a demand for our core principles; unfortunately the means to fund the dissemination of our educational endeavor will have to come from what is left after the growing government takes from the fruits of our very own labor...so keep your head up...we are accomplishing exactly what we set out to do locally...ENDURANCE is the key...we ALL have something to contribute!
