Israelis 'seize Iran arms ship'
Submitted by wafflehutguy on Wed, 11/04/2009 - 11:22Israel's navy has intercepted a ship carrying hundreds of tonnes of weapons 160km (100 miles) off its coast, the military says.
The cache included rockets and missiles, the military said, adding that they originated in Iran and were destined for Hezbollah militants.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the arms were "destined to strike Israel's cities".

So that's why the video show hundreds of shells, boxes, every marking in English/Western Latin typed characters vs. Cyrillic, Farsi, or Arabic. I guess that makes the weapons trade profitable to other countries except when they give them to Hezbullah. Makes perfect sense.

Israeli Army Chief of Staff, Gabi Ashkenazi, stated Tuesday that he believes a new war in Gaza is nearing, and that the army is readying to target Qassam launching pads, located in densely populating areas in the Gaza Strip.

Well, that's interesting.
Last time I checked, the waters off Cyprus weren't under Israeli jurisdiction.
So, what we are seeing here is the Israeli gov't engaging in a blatant act of piracy on the open seas, and crowing about it.
Since when are Israeli navy ships allowed to intercept cargo shipments between other sovereign nations, on the high seas, and seize the ships and cargo?
Who do the Israelis think they are, to assume what these arms are intended to be used for? How do they know?
Perhaps the intended receiving country wanted the weapons to defend themselves from the butcherous Israelis, who have a long record of war crimes and crimes against humanity,and yes some would say attempted genocide.
How about a blockade/sanction against Israel?
I think that's in order.

I think this is an aggressive act of war by Israel.
And since Israel is well known for war crimes, repeated and long attempts at genocide, and crimes against humanity, it comes as no surprise.
At the very least, the US needs to sever ALL ties, funding, and treaties with Israel immediately.

Antigua Flagged Ship headed for Syria

During a press conference Wednesday, the navy commander described the operation, saying that the Antigua-flagged ship was first detected during a routine patrol. In coordination with NATO ships, the ship's crew was questioned and a request for a closer inspection was presented to them. Defense officials encountered no resistance in boarding the ship. An inspection of the ship's documents revealed that the ship was carrying several containers of weapons originating from Iran and headed for Syria.

Also, remember that they found passports conveniently laying around in caves just a week or so ago...of course they were passports of people supposedly implicated in 9/11. The Amerikan people are so gullible.
