Is Trey Grayson avoiding Rand Paul?

A recent poll by WHAS has Rand Paul 3 points ahead of Trey Grayson (35% to 32%). Although this is within the margin of error, it's still impressive. A day after the poll results were released a public forum was held at the University of Kentucky. Grayson didn't show up; Rand did. Coincidence?
