Senate Allows Census to Count Illegal Aliens for Congressional Districting

0 votes

The Senate voted to prevent consideration of an amendment offered by Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) that would have required the 2010 census to include a question asking about an individual's citizenship status. The Senate passed a cloture vote on the Commerce, Justice and Science spending bill, 60-to-39.

Without the question proposed by Sen. Vitter, non-U.S. citizens will be counted towards the redistribution of congressional districts. Vitter's home state of Louisiana will likely lose a seat along with Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Massachusetts. California, Texas, New York and Illinois stand to be the winners without the inclusion of the question.

Just like the South

wanting to count the slaves but giving them no rights as citizens. History repeating itself...sort of...

It's the same reason for the Health Care

and the Military Industrial Complex. Get enough people dependant on the system and they will never vote against it!

Does this surprise anyone?

Our Congress is about ONE thing: self perpetuation. They are schooled by the CFR and the likes on how to craft legislation to ensure they keep their position, especially if they are the "establishment's team", which most all of them are. That's why we're quickly becoming a wreck of a Nation. These clowns don't care about YOU, ME or the COUNTRY.
