New Straw Poll Strategy is Needed

Ok, I'm in Tennessee, I had several friends who were involved at the Virginia straw poll which Paul just won handily.

From the underhanded tactics used first in Colorado and in San Fran though, it is becoming increasingly obvious that "the memo has gone out": Paul must not be allowed to win any more majour straw polls. How have they accomplished this? They simply wait and count the RP supporters, and then call off the event altogether based on the Paulian turnout.

Since their strategy has changed, I think ours should adapt to outflank them. Here's what I suggest, it's very simple:

First, I think that whenever meet-ups or Paul supporters go to straw polls, mum should be the word. They should never show up early. If asked who they support, they should answer, "I'm still learning about the campaigns." Or perhaps, "I thought voting preference privacy was a closely guarded American tradition, I'm just here to participate." Or perhaps even misdirect them by speaking about other candidates. This is similar to how my friends answered in Virginia. Guess what, it worked.

Secondly, no buttons, signs, or chanting...should be used, nothing should be able to indicate to the powers running the show that Paul supporters are there. That is....UNTIL they announce the winner...Then breaking out in the customary, "Ron Paul, Ron Paul" should absolutely be appropriate. When they won't give us a place at the table, a surprise attack seems suitable. By never giving them indication, they won't have any way to gauge if it should be closed. It will have them in stitches. It's sad, but it appears, there may be no other way.

absolutely right

this will make people stop and question "who is this ron paul guy" and why are all these *normal looking* people supporting him? we need to change the party and the process from within, it is the ONLY WAY.

If you want them to not

If you want them to not disregard the result, don't even chant at the end... just clap. Unless the Rudomneyompson voters chant, then it's fair game. If you stay incognito, then they won't leave writing the result off as "spam," but wondering if they should look into Dr. Paul.

Also... the Ron Paul speaker at these Straw Polls needs to emphasize areas of his platform that appeal to the mainstreamers in the crowd... lets see how many converts we can pick up at these polls.

Simple

Each poll they cancel we claim victory and post it claiming 90%,,,,, with a footnote,,This will force them to bring up the story ,,,thus giving us more media.

If voting could really change things,
it would be illegal. Here is hoping for change!

But then they can declare the winner to be whoever they want

I like your suggestion, but after we vote, we have to show some way to show that we were there.
