Health care

I have a few questions for those who support government run health care.
Please keep in mind that the overall question is:Has the government
ever properly ran a socialized plan ?,Look at Social security, designed
to be a retirement fund it is now a welfare and food stamp program
that is completely open to uncontrollable fraud including SS disability.
SS is a complete failure wholly because of how it is managed, when
a person needs the help of these funds it helps but as soon as this person begins to get back on his feet he is dropped from the system
and instead of letting them stay in the system for a few months to
boost his overall security he is dropped and goes right back to the very rock bottom to start all over again because he was making more on aid than his new min wage job is paying him.this is a perpetual cycle.
Will the government run this new plan any differently ? Definetly NOT !
First Question:Have you read this bill ? It will open a can of worms and
set precidence for the govenment to control everything in our lives
including what and how we eat.
Next:Do you want the government to have access to your personal
bank accounts to monitor every transaction you make and to take out
tax payments for this at their discretion ? This is also in the bill.
Finally :Do you want the Government deciding for you when it is
time for you to be DROPPED from the program and die ? This is also
in the bill !
If you think this plan will be managed any differently than any plan in
the past by the govenment,WAKE UP !

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

Interesting Comments

The health care bill, all 2000 pages of it, is wrong! The biggest reason? Because it is mandatory, it is FORCED. I, for one, do not use the current health care system unless I have an emergency (like a broken hand). I don't want to use it. I don't want to subsidize it. The government telling me that I have to register through the IRS, the KGB of the United States, whether I am paying for this bogus health care system that just makes you sick, just enrages me. It is completely unconstitutional and it does not fix the system. It only makes it more broke. THERE AIN'T NO FREE LUNCH. It is just another way of getting money out of me to subsidize corporations, thus corporate welfare. If people want this kind of stuff, they need to move to a country that has it.

Aren't you forced to buy

Aren't you forced to buy insurance for your vehicle, technically?

Aaah, does the IRS get involved?

I am legally bound to purchase insurance for my vehicle but if I don't purchase it, the IRS isn't going to send their henchman after me. Anything tied with the IRS is a very evil thing. I don't know how that doesn't make sense to you.

I am legally bound to purchase insurance and should, because I am not insuring myself but those that I may impact by my driving. This is not paying something for someone else to get for free. I also have a choice of insurance companies and places I want to go, if I need to use this service. There is no choice in health care and what I get for my money may be absolutely nothing like what I would want. In fact, it is nothing like I would want. It provides no options for me except the slash and burn and drug options of allopathic medicine. I don't pay based on my level of service; I pay based on others level of service which is way out of control because of their lifestyles.

Actually you don't have to

Actually you don't have to buy it if you do not submit to contracts with the state (i.e. drivers license, registration etc.)

Case # 2 - "The right of the citizen to travel upon the public highways and to transport his property thereon, either by carriage or by automobile, is not a mere privilege which a city may prohibit or permit at will, but a common right which he has under the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."- Thompson v Smith 154 SE 579.

If you register it then you need insurance and if you have insurance then you need a drivers license.

Here's a good thread on "Driving Privilege" VS. "Right to Travel" --> http://www.dailyhttp://www.dailypaul.com/comment/reply/11384...

Hey, this is cute...

Do you feel smart and proud because you can copy/paste brief Facebook discussions? Way to be.

Honestly, this was not so much a debate as much as it was you completely ignoring what I had to say, while insisting you were correct. Why continue with such a conversation, when it will clearly go nowhere? I could come up with logic that you cannot dispute, however it will still be incorrect in your eyes, and you will refuse to view it as fact.

Then you go and post this on a Ron Paul forum (a conservative I actually like quite a bit, I might add), beaming with pride? Really quite pathetic.

You got owned Jim

You need to unplug your TV and check the Daily Paul at least twice a day for news, for the next six months.

"I could come up with logic

"I could come up with logic that you cannot dispute"-You

Can you share your logic, facts and point of view here?

"I think it is strange to say you support having your tax dollars go towards two wars to protect our freedom, when many Americans have no sense of what America really is"-You

Why is that every time someone who favors "Insurance Care" they automatically think that just because you do not support it you have to be PRO WAR, well I'm anti-insurancecare, anti-unconstitutional acts, anti-war and anti-FED. BTW I don't have insurance care either.

You are right. Many Americans don't have a sense of what America really is, but at least Steven by the looks of his post does!

Wow, that's long.. lol.

Wow, that's long.. lol. sorry - but I hope atleast somebody reads it :(
