At Fort Hood, Witness Credits Second Officer

~
The witness, who asked not to be identified, said Major Hasan wheeled on Sergeant Munley as she rounded the corner of a building and shot her, putting her on the ground. Then Major Hasan turned his back on her and started putting another magazine into his semiautomatic pistol.

It was at that moment that Senior Sgt. Mark Todd, a veteran police officer, rounded another corner of the building, found Major Hasan fumbling with his weapon and shot him.

How the authorities came to issue the original version of the story, which made Sergeant Munley a national hero for several days and obscured Sergeant Todd’s role, remains unclear. (Military officials also said for several hours after the shooting that Major Hasan had been killed, although he had survived.)

Six days after the deadly shooting rampage at a center where soldiers were preparing for deployment, the military has yet to put out a full account of what happened.

November 11 UPDATE: Munley did NOT shoot Hasan!!

Wiz...you may have to make this a topic post for people to see this important update!

The Fort Hood story reminded me of another female hero associated with the Iraq War ... 6 years ago ... and I had to bring it to your attention ...

Hey, let's dust off the old playbook ...

Jessica Lynch: Media Myth-Making in the Iraq War

Project for Excellence in Journalism | June 23, 2003

The story of Jessica Lynch's rescue was one of the most covered story lines during the war in Iraq. The young soldier from West Virginia was held up as an icon of the strength and spirit of the American volunteer soldier. Her rescue mission was called a daring, made-for-Hollywood story. In recent weeks, however, the stories about Lynch's capture, her time spent captive, and her rescue have been questioned. Many claim that the original reports were filled with inaccuracies that benefited the US government by creating positive feelings about the war. Below is a detailed chronology of the major stories in the evolution of the Lynch saga.

This chronology and analysis was prepared for PEJ by journalist Dante Chinni.

a wealth of information

~
thanks for those great rabbit hole links, Liberty_Belle!

First they reported the shooter dead

Then they release his name / identify him. I would imagine from his military ID and effects from the "body".

Hours later they say he is not dead. Didn't they realize he was still alive when they pulled the ID from him?

How could they have identified him and NOT known he was still alive?

Very strange sequence.

Strip Club Visits Contradict Contrived Stereotype Of Fort Hood Shooter

Just like the 9/11 patsy hijackers, Hasan had a non-Islamic fundamentalist taste for lap dancers and alcohol

Despite a desperate attempt on behalf of the establishment media to reinforce clichéd stereotypes to prop up the war on terror, by depicting the Fort Hood shooter as a devout Muslim fundamentalist, it turns out that just like the 9/11 pasty hijackers, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan had a taste for the very much westernized sins of alcohol and strip clubs.

Thanks, Glad someone besides

Second Gunman In Custody At Army's Fort Hood -Report
A second gunman is in custody after a shooting at the Army's Fort Hood in Texas in which at least seven people were killed and 12 wounded, reports KCEN-TV of Waco. The report comes about two hours after a first suspect was captured, shortly after gunfire broke out.
Authorities say the gunmen were dressed in fatigues, though it's not confirmed whether they are military personnel. It's also not known if the victims were military personnel or civilians.
The incident reportedly began at Fort Hood's theater and then moved to the Soldier Readiness Processing Center, Killeen City Public Information Officer Hillary Shine told Fox News. A graduation ceremony was scheduled to take place Thursday.

Watch this womans body language

she is lying through her teeth about Ft. Hood

Count how many times she looks up and to the left then down. Then when asked about being shot looks fleetingly at her husband to engage the whole group in the lie. She seems really perky for having been shot in the back don't you think.

I don't know whether or not to disbelieve the girl's story--but

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

if this sort of sensationalism is classic for the MSM, I can see why intelligent people can't believe the MSM or trust their motives.

Very simplistic, aren't *they*?

Very . . . black and white--

I wonder if there is ANY way to know the truth--

but then once a person throws out the word 'truth', does that person become a 'truther'?

Sad--

especially on a site dedicated to liberty, that we canNOT know the "truth"--

and that we might be attacked for wanting to know the truth--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

weird, very weird

The very attractive young woman soldier does not seem to be related genetically to the ones posing as mother and father. Geez, I could be wrong...maybe she's adopted...but the family resemblance doesn't seem to jive.

I'm leaning on the side of "official story" with reservation.

Truth or spin. Where's Bill O'Reilly when you need him?

Seriously?

You think she's lying about getting shot?

baubaublacksheep

Read her body language.

Ever CIA informant could tell you she's lying.

CFP: Ft. Hood shooter’s computer reveals al Qaeda connection

By Doug Hagmann Monday, November 9, 2009

According to an intelligence source speaking to the Northeast Intelligence Network, forensic analysis of Nidal Malik HASAN’s computer and other media determined that HASAN had routinely visited al Qaeda and Islamic terrorist web sites in months and weeks leading to last week’s massacre at Fort Hood.

According to this investigative source, HASAN also downloaded material from the web site operated by former Dar al Hijrah mosque leader and terrorist facilitator Anwar Nasser al Awlaki. As reported here, al Awlaki was an imam at the Dar al Hijrah mosque in Fall Church, Virginia in 2001, where he advised and facilitated two of the 9/11 terrorists in the months prior to the attacks. Al Awlaki also counseled HASAN during that same period

The information obtained from HASAN’s digital files reportedly shows a “pattern of deliberate and willful planning to conduct some type of attack against the U.S. military prior to his deployment” [to Afghanistan], stated this source who requested anonymity as he is not authorized to speak publicly. “The motive behind the massacre appears to be rooted in his ideology, an ideology which was emboldened by online activity,” added this source.

As indicated by a ABC News Online article, intelligence sources reportedly had a level of knowledge that HASAN was in communication with al Qaeda assets abroad. The source speaking to this author confirmed that report but went further, stating that this and information similar but not directly related to such communications became a “political issue” between government agencies and officials “at the policy making levels” of the administration.

they stared lying and linking Hasan to 9/11. Which was a false flag as well.

More about the official story and where it is going.

No more rocket science.

Authorities scrutinize links between Fort Hood suspect, imam said to back al-Qaeda
By Spencer S. Hsu and Carrie Johnson
Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, November 9, 2009; 12:34 PM

Federal investigators are examining possible links between Fort Hood shooting suspect Maj. Nidal M. Hasan and an American-born imam who U.S. authorities say has become a supporter and leading promoter of al-Qaeda since leaving a Northern Virginia mosque, officials said.

Hasan attended the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church in 2001, when its spiritual leader was Anwar al-Aulaqi, a figure who crossed paths with al-Qaeda associates, including two Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers, one senior U.S. official said.

Since Aulaqi left in 2002 and settled in Yemen, his lectures promoting the strategies of an al-Qaeda military leader have shown up in computer files of suspects in terrorism cases in the United States, Canada and Britain, officials said. It is not clear whether Hasan knew the preacher well then or only later through his lectures on the Internet.

A federal law enforcement official said Sunday that investigators' operating theory remains that Hasan acted alone and without provocation or exhortation from an overseas person. However, new leads are being pursued based on information gleaned from a methodical review by investigators of Hasan's computer and his multiple e-mail accounts. Those include visits to Web sites espousing radical Islamist ideas, another senior official said.

On Monday, a private U.S. intelligence group said that al-Aulaqi posted a message on his Web site praising Hasan as a "hero," saying that "any decent Muslim" could not serve as a U.S. soldier because the United States is "leading the war against terorrism which in reality is a war against Islam."

why would anyone on here trust . . .

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

military computers? Even if that is what the "computers" say--

I have friends in the military, and I know how they feel they have to be 'loyal' to the military; it is a hard thing.

I'm talking about people who are 'high up'--not recruits . . .

recruits can afford to be wary once their eyes are opened. But those who have managed to survive the system and gotten to a place where they have 'power' and money . . . it's harder for them to stand up to it.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Keep posting Propaganda buddy.

Keep it up. I've got an Idea how about we link me to Al Quada next.

It would be just about as Plausible. I hope you're paid well.

SteveMT's picture

What is propaganda and what is the truth?

We do not know at this point.

You cannot think without the facts.

So you just blindly

post every MSM story that links this guy to Al Queda and 9/11..

Yeah you really make me think you're trying to figure out what really happened.

What ever.

SteveMT's picture

We need to gather together their evidence before the story..

can be attacked.

Rushing to judgment is fraught with mistakes and illogic.
We'll have a much better case and will be arguing from a position of strength if we first know what their story is?
