****Ron Paul to pass on 2012 in favor of Gary Johnson??**** WE MUST SAY NO WAY!

I like Gary Johnson. He'd be my third choice behind Ron or Rand Paul.

run I would like to see Rand go for it. He seems to be the epitomy of his father and is in it for the right reasons. Very smart well spoken man. His dad raised him well and would never try to control him but I am sure Rand would stick to almost all of the principles his father holds dear. I'm sure they would discuss things;)

Name recognition.
Millions of people know the Judge through Beck, O'Reily, Hannity, Fox news.
The Italian-American Community will come out in mass for the good Judge, just to get the first Italian American in Whitehouse.
When Dr. Paul needs someone to clean house, getting a no BS guy from New Jersey, a judge no less, who is not afraid to speak his mind and speak the truth is what we need.
No two men know the constitution better than these two who also are able to create a new brand of libertarian Republican that the GOP needs.

After they announce, they form a Liberty Coalition to help team build to include. Ventura, N. Wolf, Nader, Goldwater, Woods, Shiff, Johnson, Adam K. and Rand Paul and other Liberty minded people.

All men and women who have a common interest in the Liberty and Freedom movement. The need to work together to stop what is coming is needed. We have a common enemy; neocons, socialists and people who believe in economic fasism.

we've lost the momentum to pull off an upset and save this country.

Hard to believe Dr. Paul would pass on this opportuity...after all the work...the thousands of interviews & guest apearences...the now worldwide name & platform recognition. If Ron runs...he can ( in my mind ) easily pull together the REAL republicans & Libertarians...plus all of the disenchanted & disenfranchised voters who consider themselves to be democrates or independents etc.

It will not require a BIG $$$ campaign fund...as people are aware of and tired of the "purchased politicians" and the favors they owe their masters. .

that's his decision. I think people should lay off and let him decide. He's older now and all the strenuous work involved would take a tremendous toll on his health. I'd rather have him live longer and teach more.

If we start in-fighting as to "who is the heir-apparent" every time someone spits out a story concerning the next election, then it's going to seem an even longer way off!

Look, RP may not have made a decision yet. So be it. But the groundswell continues. By 2012, hopefully, we will be ready for a constitutional government and a return to fiscal and social sanity. Hell, look where we are already.

Let's not get the cart in front of the horse here. I'm supporting Ron Paul for president in 2012. If he does not feel up to it and passes the torch, I will decide at that time if the person he passes it to is worthy of my support.

In any case, I will follow no one blindly.

Johnson would be a good running mate, but not yet a Presidential Candidate. But if he was to be Ron Paul's VP for one term and then ran for President after studying under Dr.Paul for four years..." you'd have something sweeter than yoohoo ".

For those of you who are naysayers, allow me to remind you that the economy is fast going in the toilet and that one more year of this nonsense and people are going to get far more dissatisfied than they are right now. And, right now, the majority are pretty darn displeased!!!!!!

as much as we all would love to see RP run again .... it is not going to happen ...
and yes, Johnson would most likely run as a (yuck) Republican -
if Ventura ran Independent ... I will give him support and vote ....
if not - and we have Johnson - he will be a good one to vote for...

OK, I'm not passing judgment on who should run. But we cannot be so quick to dismiss strategy, and some of your claims are completely divorced from reality. You attack Ventura as being of "limited appeal," as if Ron Paul appealed to such a huge base.

Face it: we NEED to grow this movement. Maybe Ron Paul will do it. Maybe Rand Paul, Jesse Ventura, Gary Johnson, John Stossel, or someone ELSE will do it. Let's NOT JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS!

Nothing less. I don't buy the story.
