Erie Pa and Marietta Ga. RP's Power Observed in a Road Trip.

This past week I had to drive from Atlanta Georgia to Erie Pennsylvania for my grandmothers funeral, bless her heart, she bought me my first Beatles record.
Arriving in my Hometown of Erie I was amazed to spot dozens of Ron Paul signs and hundreds of "Support the troops End the War" signs. I pointed this out to my father as we drove to the Public Dock and back to our home on the lake in Lake City... I think maybe he thinks I'm less crazy now. I spotted two RP bumper stickers at church with my mom. All the conversations around the table with friends and family included RP. As I drove out of town I stopped to fill up and there's an RP supporter working there, he hands me 10 bumper stickers, Thanks Guy!
As I'm driving down through Ohio and Kentucky I pick up this radio station from God playing some of the best Hank Williams, Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash. When they went to a commercial break, each one would have a little lesson on the Constitution...Unbelievable! It was WOBO out of Batavia Ohio.
While I was on the road on my return trip to Marietta it appears my adopted home town had a very warm welcome for Rudy on Sunday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wLzXrAl-A0 I only wish I could have taken my kids...It looked like a blast.
I crash exhausted only to be awakened by my mother calling to tell me that RP was on the View and she thought he was great (She's been a cynic...Up till now.)

Erie Pennsylvania and Marietta Georgia, you make me proud.

Sorry for your loss...

...and joyful at your trip news, rustybuick. Maybe this is the beginning of a new aspect in your relationship with your parents, a blessing to ease the loss.

That Bible quote is incredible! It's Dr. Paul to a T! Thank you for that.

Thanks!

similar trip

I am sorry for your loss. My wife's grandmother passed last month and we made a similar trip from Birmingham to Cleveland. On the way, signs of support for Dr. Paul were a blessing as they reminded us of our common purpose and of the " family" that this revolution has brought together in its own way. My wife's grandmother was a wonderful patriot from the greatest generation, I am sure yours was as well. It is their torch of liberty and independence from tyranny, within and without, that we are picking up to pass to our children. May she rest in paeace and smile on us all.

I thought this was amazing

At the funeral service they read a few of the verses she had underlined in her study bible

James 1:25

"But who should look upon the perfect law of liberty, and continueth there in, he not being a forgetfull hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed."

Amen.

Amen.

Pennsylvania Loves Ron Paul!

Sorry to hear about your Grandma.

Which Beatles album did she buy you?

Rarity's

I was kind of hoping for the White Album but Grandma did her best.

There's an interesting mix

There's an interesting mix of material on that album.

Ron Paul, George and Ringo...

And the cover with the babies and all

I can't imagine what she must have thought. I was like eleven years old.
