Hey everybody - I know we have disagreements on the near-term future price of gold these days, but nonetheless I hope you'll join me in celebrating...
Kitco.com is now publishing my articles!
See here:

I am pretty pumped as I have been a long-time visitor of Kitco's and now I get to contribute to the community... although as you can see by the other articles out there I am playing the lone ranger right now lol.
Have a great day all!
Derek.

LOL Derek!
I saw and read your article on Kitco even before it was posted here, Derek, and might I say good job! Congratulations on a good start, and I hope to see your articles regularly in the future.
Maybe you can even eventually graduate to "Senior Gold Analyst", and demote a certain shrill anti-gold shill for Wall Street and the central banks!
I would love to hear your view (even in private) on why Kitco continues to employ such a ludicrous, lying, bumbling hack as Nadler as their official spokesman, however. He is really the Inspector Clouseau of the gold world.
Hmmm...
I would say there are two reasons. The first is the "practical" one that is most likely - the very nature of the site is that most commentators are perma-bullish on gold, and Kitco probably sees it as beneficial to have someone else who writes regularly (daily) from the other side of the trade.
On that point, remember kitco can make money when you buy OR sell your gold, so they don't really care either way. Pooled accounts and so on.
The more devious side of it is that it could very well be that Kitco has some hefty open shorts on the metals and they need someone to attempt to balance out the psychology and help the "suppression" scheme.
In the grand picture, though, I doubt that is it - surely they would realize that one fellow writing about gold (highly based on jewelry demand, I might add) could actually influence the market. I think it's just his personality.
Trust me, I get my own fair share of hate email from perma bulls when I see a correction on the horizon. And my favourite is when people accuse me of something like "you're just trying to convince us to sell it so you can buy it cheaper!" lolol. Markets are mass-psychology driven - nothing I could say or do would have any influence on price movement for more than a minute. If at all.
I'll probably average about an article a week - not all of them will run on Kitco, however DailyMarkets, MarketOracle, and Taipan Publishing also run my stuff very frequently - Kitco will only run these if they specifically deal with precious metals.
Hope to hear more feedback in the future - thanks for the positives!
Derek.
