I'm glad Ron Paul didn't win the 2008 election

Looking back, it has become obviously clear that our dollar reserve standard was doomed to fail regardless of who won the election in 2008. Sure, some presidents would've delayed the collapse, but nonetheless, a currency collapse is inevitable.

All the Austrian economists predicted it and we're now watching it play out.

If Ron Paul won in 08', he would've inherited a gigantic economic mess that was many decades in the making.

Not to mention the inflation created by the Bush bailouts. (Yes the Obama bailouts made it much worse, but we know that in the end, there will be economic pain that will result in a dollar collapse.)

If Dr. Paul would've won, there would've been no way for him to really hold the flimsy paper dollar afloat... Sure he would've allowed competition with the Fed, but that still wouldn't have avoided our entire country to feel some serious pain.

The people and media would've gone on a frenzy, blaming the economic collapse on Dr. Paul's sound monetary policies and libertarian views.

The Austrian school of economics would've been seriously hurt. Our freedom movement wouldn't be seriously hurt if not permanently ruined.

Today however, as bad as Obama's policies are for the country, he's the best thing that ever happened to the freedom movement in centuries!

The big government policies will only accelerate the Dollar's demise and usher in a massive freedom movement never seen since the founding of our great nation.

I have a feeling that it will be a peaceful revolution. An education revolution where millions of people will learn the freedom message and the importance of sound money and naturally vote for individuals who will promise to nullify all the government's unconstitutional laws.

We are headed towards amazing times!

Good post.

I hope this gives us time to educate more people as to what is going on.

Anerican voters didn't deserve Ron Paul

They got what they deserved. Now as the pain deepens they might wake up and work for their liberty...might.

We worked hard for Ron Paul. We were the minority.

America had its warning from the Ron Paul campaign and they ignored, derided and rejected it.

At least we know how to defend ourselves and thrive as the herd gets a can of whoop ass opened up on them.

We know not to agitate a TSA goon.

We know not to keep buying junk.

We know that hard assets are where the wealth will reside.

And we know that no matter what, our Creator wants us to prosper in all areas of our lives, no matter who is in power.

If Ron Paul won the election...

If Ron Paul won the election, he would have called out all the parties involved and shamed them. The people would have learned a great deal about what was really going on.

However, the people who created this situation would have made the economy much much worse. Remember what both parties did to Carter...well, imagine that times 100.

They would not only destroy Ron Paul's power, but they'd make up stories to discredit his character. And if that didn't work, they'd murder Ron Paul.

Plus, the super bad economy would cause the American people to be so hurt for jobs, food, shelter, that we'd abandon all ties to the founding principles. The powers that be could make us into another Nazi party.

BTW: The same thing would happen if Ron Paul were elected in 2012.

You people fail to see how far down the rabbit hole goes.

I thought about writing

an article with the idea that Ron Paul may be America's Gorbatchev. Don't get me wrong, you can't really compare Ron Paul to a progressive communist and Ron Paul is a thousand times better than Gorbatchev in any respect. But when Ron Paul really was our next president, it'll likely be the end of the American Empire, just like Gorbatchev had to face the reality of an unsustainable Empire and ended it without bloodshed.

I think the bankerstars would have made it hard on him

But he was the one shot for the rebuilding phase to be overseen by someone competent...meow we are just bent.

In order for Ron Paul to have won, America would have had to

wake up en masse. Once that happens (if ever), we'll see change. Waiting for others to bring it will result in utter failure. Ron Paul is not going to save us, we are.

You're right. Education is

You're right. Education is the key.

We just need to keep waking people up and showing them the

real deal. It's not a politician, it's a philosophy. It's an idea who's time has come. We expose the elite rulers of the planet and their scams and we'll see freedom. We play by the rules and try to beat the system from within it and we get slavery.

You make a very good point.

You make a very good point. I agree. Ron Paul 2012! (because by then the dollar will collapse)

If he've won

Ron Paul would've been assassinated by now. Talk about energizing the freedom movement!

IF RP got in and did his "change"

we would have had a bad year...now it's gonna be a bad decade.

Not so sure about that...

Not so sure about that... While I do agree that Ron Paul would've steered our country in the right direction, we still would've felt a lot of pain for a longer period than one year... It's impossible to tell exactly but a recovery would be seriously prolonged when you consider how we no longer have a manufacturing base and most people have no savings or assets.

The rebuilding stage of our economy will take some years to rebuild properly...

I thionk you are wrong.. if

I thionk you are wrong.. if Ron Paul were in office the dollar would be strengthening right now...

But it would've inevitably

But it would've inevitably weakened had he rightfully allowed gold and silver to be legal tender.

The transition period would've been painful, but necessary... Very painful though.

a;so .. he along could not

a;so .. he along could not get gold and silver to compete as currency unless he issued an executive order.. I think he would have stopped the wars, raised rates.. and strengthen the dollar.. not so much have gold and silver compete but back the dollar with gold or silver.

it is going to be painful no

it is going to be painful no matter what.. I would rather haave him at the helm then some idiot.. and the longer it goes the more painful it will get.

I understand where you're

I understand where you're coming from, but don't forget how the Media and political parties would've spun things to destroy Dr. Paul and benefit themselves politically.

The establishment would've railed on Ron Paul's policies giving him absolutely no chance of reelection or electing another freedom loving individual into political office.
