For Veteran's Day, Remembering a Request from Dr. Paul

I honor what is good in their heart, but they must remove the veils from their own eyes. I cannot do that for them.
Now, if we add a verse, THEN I am where I belong: Personally responsible for these wars for oil.
Now the Universal Taxpayer must also bear the blame,
Our money is what buys their endless war
They make soldiers of our sons,
And we supply the funds
Will the people ever stand and say "NO MORE?"

A great moment is our movement's history
I feel very grateful to have been present at the Rally for the Republic and hear this incredible special request by Dr. Paul. I am very happy that Aimee Allen's song "On Vacation" is getting some air time on mainstream Radio. Buying her CD would help promote at true friend of Liberty. I gained A LOT of respect for Aimee Allen after watching this interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8H5IEOYEoYY

Obama needs to see this thread based on what he did today.
He goes to Arlington National Cemetery, then promptly goes to a 2-hour meeting with the military to discuss sending 40,000 more troops to Afghanistan.
Obama Meets on Afghanistan After Saluting War Dead
By JEFF ZELENY
Published: November 11, 2009
WASHINGTON — President Obama hailed the sacrifice and determination of the nation’s military on Wednesday as he delivered a Veterans Day tribute at Arlington National Cemetery, a hallowed place where he said the “grief remains fresh.”
As he weighs a decision to escalate the war in Afghanistan, Mr. Obama called on Americans to honor the sacrifices that men and women in this generation — and those who have gone before — have given to protect the country.
“For the better part of a decade, they have endured tour after tour in distant and difficult places,” Mr. Obama said. “They have protected us from danger and they have given others the opportunity for a better life. To all of them, to our veterans, to the fallen and to their families, there’s no tribute, no commemoration, no praise that can truly match the magnitude of your service and your sacrifice.”
The president came to Arlington National Cemetery, just across the Potomac River from the White House, to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Light raindrops fell on a cool morning as Mr. Obama bowed for a moment of reflection. He placed his hand over his heart as a lone bugler played “Taps.”
“We don’t mark this day each year as a celebration of victory,” Mr. Obama said. “We mark this day as a celebration of those who made victory possible.”
At the end of his brief remarks, the president boarded his motorcade to return to the White House. On the way, he stopped by Section 60, the designated area of Arlington National Cemetery, where many troops from Iraq and Afghanistan are buried. He walked among the granite headstones, etched with the names of today’s wars, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
The occasion of Veterans Day carried extra poignancy as Mr. Obama moves closer to announcing a decision on how many additional troops to send to Afghanistan. Not long after his appearance at the cemetery, Mr. Obama met for more than two hours with his war council in the Situation Room at the White House, the eighth meeting on finding a new military strategy for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
He has not come to a decision, aides said, but is expected to announce his intentions after he returns from a trip to Asia on Nov. 19.

What a great quote by Chris Floyd
So very true.
Do we have the courage to confront the lies?
courage to confront the lies
Yes, this is why I love the Daily Paul Community..we give each other the strength and courage to find, discuss, and confront the lies. It gets very dark when you start realizing the very foundations of what you once believed are based on lies. Each one of us adds light to the dark .. together we can expose the Vampiric Ruling Elite to the sunlight and one day rid ourselves of these bloodsucking monsters!

Universal Soldier Lyrics
He's five foot-two, and he's six feet-four,
He fights with missiles and with spears.
He's all of thirty-one, and he's only seventeen,
Been a soldier for a thousand years.
He'a a Catholic, a Hindu, an Atheist, a Jain,
A Buddhist and a Baptist and a Jew.
And he knows he shouldn't kill,
And he knows he always will,
Kill you for me my friend and me for you.
And he's fighting for Canada,
He's fighting for France,
He's fighting for the USA,
And he's fighting for the Russians,
And he's fighting for Japan,
And he thinks we'll put an end to war this way.
And he's fighting for Democracy,
He's fighting for the Reds,
He says it's for the peace of all.
He's the one who must decide,
Who's to live and who's to die,
And he never sees the writing on the wall.
But without him,
How would Hitler have condemned him at Dachau?
Without him Caesar would have stood alone,
He's the one who gives his body
As a weapon of the war,
And without him all this killing can't go on.
He's the Universal Soldier and he really is to blame,
His orders come from far away no more,
They come from here and there and you and me,
And brothers can't you see,
This is not the way we put the end to war.
Absolutely one of the best
Absolutely one of the best protest songs ever written!
