Blackwater Used "Child Prostitutes" In Iraq
(BAGHDAD PressTV) - New disturbing charges have emerged against XE, the infamous private security firm formerly known as Blackwater Worldwide, whose operations came under spotlight after its 2007 carnage in Baghdad.
According to a report by MSNBC and based on alleged sworn declarations by two Blackwater employees in federal court, the firm used child prostitutes at its compound in Baghdad's fortified Green Zone.
The declarations added Iraqi minors got involved in sexual acts with Blackwater members in exchange for one dollar. It is further alleged that Erik Prince, the firm's owner, "failed to stop the ongoing use of prostitutes, including child prostitutes, by his men."
Based on other statements, the firm was involved in another sex scandal; "Prince's North Carolina operations had an ongoing wife-swapping and sex ring, which was participated in by many of Mr. Prince's top executives."
The two employees also alleged that Prince "views himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe," The Nation reported.
Prince also allegedly forced health professional to endorse the redeployment of those Blackwater members who had been mental problems, such as excessive drinking and drug abuse.
Other charges against the firm include arms smuggling, money laundering and tax evasion.
The criminal activities of the firm first came under scrutiny after a group of the firm's members who were tasked to guard US diplomats in Iraq opened fire on civilians in Baghdad on September 2007, killing 17 people.
According to federal contract data obtained by The Nation, the Obama administration has recently extended a contract with Blackwater for more than $20 million for "security services" in Iraq.

I hate to defend Blackwater, but...
"Based on other statements, the firm was involved in another sex scandal; "Prince's North Carolina operations had an ongoing wife-swapping and sex ring, which was participated in by many of Mr. Prince's top executives."
As long as the sex was between consenting adults, how is this in any way relevant to criminal charges against Blackwater? I'm somewhat disturbed at the idea of private sex lives among consenting adults being dragged into court testimony.
The child prostitution
The child prostitution allegations are the serious ones, IMO.
I'm not disputing that...
...but I still fail to see how a consensual wife-swapping sex ring among adults is in any way relevant to criminal charges of child prostitution. The court needs to focus on the facts of the case, and not on irrelevant gossip or political grandstanding. There are plenty of serious charges against Blackwater--why waste time assailing them for legal and private activities? It's disgusting that this kind of moralizing is allowed in our court system even if it is against a bunch of bastards like Blackwater.
I think Prince
had to leave Iraq and come home to deal with the wife swapping issue. There was tension among his leadership. That sucks when they are also being paid millions of tax dollars to do a very dangerous and important job in Iraq. It also seems odd that a wife swapping ring was running in a company owned and operated by an Evangelical Christian who gave large amounts of money to Focus on the Family.
I think the
Christian crusade allegation should terrify us.
Hmm. I concur.
Hmm. I concur.
I've trained
with some of the Blackwater guys. A little creepy. I ALWAYS suspected Prince of having a religious agenda. Take a look at his wife's family. He got his funding from very powerful people.
I think they found
it inconsistent with the owners evangelical Christian beliefs.
Lasting time I checked...
It wasn't illegal to have hypocritical religious beliefs. If it were, most of Congress would be in jail.
The more people know about Blackwater/Xe
the better. Only ignorance prevents Obama's loyal legion from pardoning his disgraceful continuation of Bush crimes, including the deployment of Xe and filthy organizations like it.
and this is what
I was trying to discuss in the other threads. Yes, Christians, we have a problem. The Knights Templar formed a bank so they could finance the crusades. Do you think they just went away? WE will never have a limited, SECULAR government while we allow undeclared wars/crusades.
Yes, Fedor, you are the man
and wisdom will die with you.
yep,
I am.
