Is the "DOLLAR" crashing or is the "FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE" crashing?
What's the difference here?
I've been meaning to ask for some guidance on this issue for a week or two!
PLEASE, all of you that are much wiser than myself, explain or give me some insight on the Dollar and the Federal Reserve Note that we generally "think of" when someone says "the dollar collapse." I have had friends and family ask me for details and insight and they will say. in summation, "What technically IS 'The Dollar' here?" The dollar in an abstract is the USA's currency denomination in the technical sense? The "Dollar" is the ONE DOLLAR BILL that has "FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE" and George Washington's picture on a pretty and smelly paper note?
If the Fed note crashes? Big deal! The "Dollar" is our national currency standard of measure regardless, right? No?
I don't understand the economic labyrinth! Direction is much appreciated here!
What IS THE DOLLAR (exactly)? I don't want opinion....I'd rather have some legitimate, factual interpretation.
If we're the United States of America (note the spelling) then we always HAVE the dollar.

U.S. dollar depreciation orderly so far: Fed's Fisher
Sunday, 1 Nov 2009 11:47am EST
AUSTIN (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar has so far had an orderly depreciation, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Richard Fisher said on Tuesday.
"Thus far the dollar has not been in a disorderly depreciation," Fisher told reporters, when asked about the carry trade.
In a speech earlier, Fisher warned that the Federal Open Market Committee would craft an appropriate response if the carry trade proved disruptive to currencies and securities.
He said he was aware of risks the FOMC ran of fuelling the trade by stating the Fed would hold its funds rate at exceptionally low levels for an extended period.
