I am a huge fan of the original British tv series (The Prisoner) starring the late Patrick McGoohan, a killer show way ahead of it's time which was cancelled after only one season. Speculation over it's demise has been a hot topic among loyal fans over the past 40+ years and one of the most popular is that it was upsetting people in very high places due to it's strong theme of individualism vs collectivism.
This Sunday is the premiere of the 6 part mini-series starring James Caviezel as the new number 6 and Ian McKellen as the new number 2, I am very interested to see if the producer is loyal to the original theme and better yet expands on it.

I read an interview with the main writer for the original Prisoner. I do not recall his name. He said it went on longer than he wished, due to pressure from the higher ups. He said the premise had played itself out. I think the first few episodes were far better than the last ones.
Interesting, where can one see this?
