Constitutional Candidates for Congress

0 votes

As recently as two years ago, Congressman Ron Paul introduced a bill to audit the Federal Reserve Bank that headed to oblivion. Year after year — beginning in 1983 — the bill never even won a committee hearing. Dr. Paul was ignored in Washington, and was a lonely voice for freedom back in his Texas congressional district.

Times have changed. Ron Paul is on a political roll. The bill Dr. Paul introduced in the current Congress to audit the Federal Reserve Bank (H.R. 1207) has more than 300 cosponsors — including every House Republican and more than 100 Democrats — and the backing of House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank. Frank has promised a committee vote, and it has a better-than-average chance of House passage this year. Dr. Paul’s new book End the Fed sailed into the top twenty of Amazon.com’s sales figures more than a month before it was available. It debuted on both Amazon.com and New York Times bestseller lists, and sales remain strong even today. His old presidential campaign has rolled over into a “Campaign for Liberty” that has raised more than $4 million since its founding in February of this year.

More importantly, his presidential campaign evidently inspired dozens of candidates for congressional office across the nation who seek to reform Congress from a constitutionalist perspective. And several of them are both well funded and being taken seriously by the political establishment.

Dr. Eric Wargotz for US Senate, a Constitutional Republican

Dr. Eric Wargotz is a principled conservative firmly based in the US Constitution. He deserves and needs our support. He and Dr. Paul have many, many similarities as well as with Dr. Rand Paul. These physicians make great legislators and are true leaders. Let's spread the word on all. His web sites are worth visiting and are http://www.wargotzforussenate.org and www.wargotz.com

Visit, donate, support.

Got a list of candidates

FWIW, I have a simple facebook group where I listed candidates running for Congress, Senate, and Governor who are Ron Paul supporters, or very close to him on the issues. I looked for Republicans first, but if a libertarian or constitution party or independent candidate has a nice looking website and are active I added them.

Also put up a blogger site, anyone who wants to blog about candidates and their campaigns email me and I will add you, so you can post.

I think Chelene Nightingale

I think Chelene Nightingale running for California governor should be added to that list. She's definitely made no secret of being a Ron Paul supporter. Here's the link
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/106148

Patricia Sullivan should be

Patricia Sullivan should be on that list. She is running against Alan Greyson, who most of the people this site support, even though he is a socialist. Patricia will support HR 1207 and she will vote to uphold the Constitution, much better than Greyson who will only vote to audit the fed, Constitution be damned for everything else.

I even half of these candidates

are consistently pro-freedom, it is tremendous progress in shifting the national political conversation.

Jesse Kelly

Jesse Kelly running in Arizona is just another Neocon. He is NO Constitutionalist nor is he remotely like Ron Paul. I spoke with him personally on the issues. For example: I asked him about our foreign policy and his response was "I'm fine with our foreign policy as it is." I asked him how he was going to pay for it and he literally just shrugged his shoulders. I asked him if he knew how much the national debt was and he said "Oh a few hundred billion." I had to explain to him the difference between the debt and the deficit.

He will make noises about being fiscally conservative but he doesn't have the slightest plan for making it a reality and is happy with spending a trillion a year on the world empire.

After I had cornered him several times on unConstitutional, anti-freedom positions, he said "you're a Libertarin aren't you?" I said "No, I'm a Republican, a PC and a State Committeeman."

He does not belong on this list.

You are right

Sorry, I copied and pasted the list from the blog site. I already erased him off the facebook and a few other places i put the list.

I am with you, he is a no go!
