Example of Current Military Morale
Submitted by bcfast on Fri, 11/13/2009 - 07:34
I received the following as an email from a retired-military friend who stays in contact with those currently serving, or his peers who's kids are now serving. I thought this brief note is very telling:
Received this from a friend in Alaska. Let's see what the news says tomorrow.
Hi J,
Just a little trivia here. The President will land at Elmendorf tomorrow on
his way to the Orient. A soldier called in today to say that there were 300
seats reserved for family, etc. They couldn't fill them. So - - - it is a
mandatory formation tomorrow. No matter what you may see on the news, it was
mandatory.

In this case that 'E' was pretty important...
Good post, Thanks bcfast...

We don't know how to mind our own business
'Cause the whole worlds got to be just like us
Now we are fighting a war over there
No matter who's the winner
We can't pay the cost
'Cause there's a monster on the loose
'Cause there's a monster on the loose
Vanna, can I buy an "E?"
I will like to give it to bcfast to put on the end of "morale."
The moral issues of war need discussed to, but I don't think this thread is about that.
;)
GREAT post, in spite of my sarcasm and word-nerdishness. Thanks for sharing.

Oops...my bad!
I too am a stickler for spelling and grammar...just too early, I guess!
My point of sharing this is that our boys/girls in uniform don't seem to give a crap about seeing Barry, even in a remote AFB. It proves the point that respect is earned, not just handed out.
Their act of non-interest makes me smile!!
