Out of Ohio:

Once again, fluoride issue gnashing teeth in Athens

Thursday, 22 October 2009 09:29

The fluoride debate is once again popping up in the city of Athens, this time after at-large City Council member Elahu Gosney organized a forum on the subject last week.

Athens has been adding fluoride to its drinking water since 2002, according to Gosney, who serves as chair of City Council’s environmental committee. The state of Ohio passed a law in 1970 requiring fluoridation of the public water supplies, exempting only cities that passed a referendum declining to fluoridate. Athens was one of those cities. Since then, there have been numerous efforts to fluoridate Athens’ drinking supply.

A city law cleared the way in 1997 to add fluoride compounds to the water supply, but this wasn’t accomplished until 2002. Most of the rural water suppliers in the area, including Le-Ax Water District, fluoridate their water.

Gosney said he invited both Paul Connett, an emeritus professor of chemistry and executive director of the Fluoride Action Network and an official from the Ohio Department of Health to debate the issue at the forum. Gosney said he was told by the ODH that they didn’t participate in debates on fluoride.

“As the science advances and provides new evidence, I believe it is good public policy to periodically review public-health issues that impact our community,” Gosney said of his decision to hold the forum. “This was an initial event aimed at educating Athens residents about the topic.”

Gosney said he was disappointed that organizers could not find anyone willing to present the pro-fluoridation view in an open, public forum.

In an interview prior to the forum, Connett laid out some of his concerns about fluoride. He said that the major promoters of fluoridation – the American Dental Association and the federal Centers for Disease Control – now both concede that the major benefits of fluoride are topical as opposed to systemic. This means that fluoride is effective when applied to the teeth on the outside, and not when ingested, he said. (Most commercially available toothpastes contain fluoride.)

“Now that they’ve conceded that the major benefits are topical, in the context that fluoridated toothpaste is universally available, there should be no reason to put it in the water,” Connett said.

Connett also cited risks, saying that 23 studies have now shown that moderate to high dosages of fluoride lowers IQ in children. Other risks he cited include problems with brain function, the thyroid and skeletal systems, and the fact that it can cause kidney damage and lower fertility.

“They argue, of course, that these are high dosages, but they’re not,” Connett said. “There’s no way of ignoring the fact that there’s no margin of safety. You can’t control the dose. You can’t control who’s getting it. And you are forcing it on people who don’t want it.”

He said that other than fluoridation, the public water supply has never before been used to deliver medicine.

“You are depriving the individual of the right to informed consent to medication,” Connett said. “Your council is doing to the whole of Athens what an individual doctor could not to do an individual patient.”

Colleen Wulf, preventive services coordinator with the Bureau of Oral Health Services of the ODH, countered some of Connett’s claims in a telephone interview.

“ODH does endorse fluoridation,” Wulf said. “Our director has a policy statement that it is the single most effective thing that a community can do to improve the oral health of its citizens.”

Wulf said fluoridation is safe, works and is effective, but sees opposition bubble up occasionally because it’s the only public-health measure that is subjected to a vote.

“In the ’50s it was a Communist plot. And then in the ’70s it caused cancer. And then in the ’90s it was linked with AIDS. They kind of take whatever the issue of the day is,” Wulf said. “Now you hear about environmental impacts, but there is no true scientific controversy.”

People have grown up for generations, Wulf said, with fluoride naturally in the water at a variety of levels.

“We know that at 10 parts per million, it causes staining,” Wulf said. “But at one part per million, it’s going to reduce tooth decay and not cause staining of the teeth.”

In response to fluoride being effective topically and not systemically, Wulf agreed that the main action is topical, but said it’s fine to get fluoride topically in the water as well as in toothpaste.

As far as an effect on IQ in children, Wulf said that she has not seen anything in the refereed scientific journals that have made such a link to fluoridation of water.

With regard to Connett’s argument that fluoridation is a forced medication, Wulf compared it to seatbelt and helmet laws, saying that no court of last resort has ever ruled against bettering the public health.

Gosney said that Connett raised some important questions, both about the effectiveness of fluoridation and the possibility for adverse health effects.

“I will compile a list of relevant questions and send them on to the Ohio Department of Health, who I hope can follow through on an assurance that they can answer those questions with sound, scientific and documented responses,” Gosney said.

City Workers Accidentally Dump Hydrochloric Acid into Ohio Water Supply Instead of Toxic Fluoride

(February 3, 2009) Yesterday, chemical treatment plant workers in Bellaire, Ohio, accidentally dumped 40 pounds of hydrochloric acid into the public water supply instead of 40 pounds of toxic fluoride chemicals they were supposed to dump.
Falling fluoride levels alerted water treatment officials to the problem, and they immediately issued an alert to tell people to stop drinking the water. The water system was then flushed by opening fire hydrants across the town to remove any trace of hydrochloric acid.
But here’s the hilarious part in all this: Hydrochloric acid is safer than fluoride!

Man Quits Job Over Water Fluoride

.

.

More from Australia-

Looks like this man grew a spine.

This story just completely warms my heart. It's the PERFECT story to bring alive the Christmas Spirit:

Man Quits Job Over Water Fluoride

AFTER 15 years loyal service with Fitzroy River Water, Graham Demeny says his career is down the gurgler because of fluoride and an uncompromising council.

Graham, who was responsible for making Rockhampton’s drinking water safe, resigned earlier this month after his request for a transfer within Rockhampton Regional Council was refused.

He said he questioned the safety of adding fluoride to the city’s water supply and ethically wasn’t prepared to do the job.

From today fluoride will be added to drinking water in Rockhampton, The Caves and Gracemere.

Protesters, including councillor Glenda Mather, will rally against the situation this morning outside City Hall.

Yesterday Cr Mather said Graham’s situation was a tragedy.

“I consider staff, especially long-term staff, as the organisation’s most valuable asset and we need to treat them like liquid gold,” Cr Mather said.

“I feel very sad for this family, especially at Christmas time, as clearly the breadwinner has ended a career because he stood by principles.

“I don’t know what I can do, but will certainly be making some internal enquiries to see if a solution can be found.”

Graham, who finished up with council on December 7, said he was one of five people who added the chemicals to the water supply.

“For the last 15 years I have worked at the Glenmore Water Treatment Plant operating the chemical dosing of water taken from the Fitzroy River for the city’s consumption,” Graham said.

“Until now all processes adopted have made the water either clean or safe to consume.

“Fluoride addition does neither and questionably compromises the safety aspect.

“With this ethical, plus a few moral issues, I realised my present position was untenable.”

He said he approached council about a transfer.

“Not wishing to make waves and expecting respect on my stance on fluoride and for the years of loyal service I requested redeployment,” Graham said.

“Without negotiation I was told to leave if I wasn’t prepared to dose the city water supply with fluoride, for there would be no redeployment.”

He said his was just one of many examples of the “consequences of supercilious policies and procedures adopted by council since amalgamation which are drastically reducing morale in the council workforce”.

A council spokeswoman confirmed Mr Demeny had worked for the council before resigning, however said it was not council’s policy to comment on staffing matters.

Filters in demand to stop fluoride

Excerpt:

North Mackay resident Bob Hollis said he invested in a reverse osmosis filtration system because he was concerned about how much fluoride he could end up consuming.

“How do we know what dosage is going in? How are we going to check?” he asked. “The idea of putting a class seven poison in our water and calling it a health initiative is just crazy.”

Debate over adding fluoride to water continues (Louisiana)

.

More fires to be put-out around the nation with this mess:

Debate over adding fluoride to water continues

DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) - A Denham Springs councilman says he wants more information before following through on a new Louisiana law ordering public water systems to start adding fluoride to their water "for the purpose of protecting the dental health of this state." For years, it has been the subject of a controversial conversation.

Councilman John Wascom calls the water from his tap "Grade A." He says it is clean, clear and refreshing. He says he needs more information because his research led him to negative news about fluoridation.

"We provide good, safe, clean drinking water," he said. "We go down 2,300 feet below surface. We treat our water with chlorine and phosphates, so that it is pure clean water. I'm appalled at using water as a vehicle for drugs. Fluoride is a corrosive poison."

However, one Denham Springs dentist says adding fluoride is the most effective way to protect teeth. Preventing cavities has been a priority for dentists since the early 1970s. Dr. Joseph Yale said treating the water with fluoride is likely to leave him with fewer cavities to fill. He added the best way to do that is to deliver the dose through the drinking water.

"There's other areas of the country that have much lower rate of cavities as a whole, as far as the decay rate of children," he stated. "In large part, that is due to us not having a therapeutic amount of fluoride in our water."

Yale admitted there was a time when there was too much fluoride in the water, but a safe therapeutic range has since been discovered. According to Yale, that range is seven parts per million, but right now, there are less than three parts per million in the water. He thinks the process is long overdue.

Wascom remains skeptical. He and other council members must now decide whether or not to flavor the city's water with fluoride.

In 2008, Act 761 was passed in the legislature's regular session and Gov. Bobby Jindal signed it into law. It states public water systems must operate and maintain levels of fluoride in the drinking water. Water systems will not have to comply with the law if the state cannot find a source to fund the fluoridation program. Some systems will be allowed to opt out, but only if 15 percent of the voters sign a petition.

Do any of you TRULY believe dentists want LESS cavities to fill?

That's like a roofer hoping for hurricane-proof roofs.

Has anyone called BS regarding children

Given that their first set of teeth will fall out anyway? I spoke with a fellow parent the other day that insisted on buying flouridating Ozarka bottled water (marketed for children) for her 3 year old.

Seriously? Our people not able to think through that one?

Plant City may fluoridate water supply

By DAVE NICHOLSON | The Tampa Tribune

Published: November 25, 2009

PLANT CITY - The city is studying the possibility of adding fluoride to its water supply to help fight tooth decay.

City staff members are researching how much it will cost to join other cities in the region in adding fluoride to the water. City Manager David Sollenberger expects to present the report to the city commissioners on Jan. 25.

Sollenberger said he expects health officials and dental professionals will be on hand at the Jan. 25 meeting to "present the value added by fluoridating the water supply."
The state has grants available to help pay for the equipment and startup costs of fluoridation, he said.

Dentists have long advocated adding fluoride, a frequent ingredient in toothpaste, to the water supply. Members of the Hillsborough County Health Department and West Coast District Dental Association have met with the city to advocate fluoridation of the water, Sollenberger said.

Many nearby utilities fluoridate their water, including the cities of Tampa, Temple Terrace and Lakeland and unincorporated Hillsborough County.

Plant City has naturally occurring fluoride in its water of about 0.4 parts per million. The fluoridation equipment would bring the level to 0.8 parts per million, consider the "optimal level," Sollenberger said.
The city commission considered fluoridating the water in mid-1990s amid stiff opposition, but never followed through with it.

City Commissioner Mike Sparkman, the only sitting commissioner from that era, voted against fluoridation. He said he has changed his mind.

"I think it's probably something we probably should be doing," he said.

WTF?

I understand that once a city starts this it is hard to stop but why in the hell would a city start THIS DAY AND AGE?

With declining tax base...they are starting to worry about tooth decay? Are you serious?

When did the local dentist lobby get so much clout and financing?

Or is something else going on?

Should I report this as terrorism to DHS?

.

If anyone else dumped known toxins/poisons into the water supply, IT WOULD BE TREATED AS A TERRORIST ACT !!!

I am tempted to report it as such, but I'll probably end up being on some shit-list the rest of my life.

Who am I kidding - I'm sure I already am.

NZ Community Has Fluoride RAMMED Down Throats

.

Often times, it doesn't matter what the citizens want - it only matters what the "leaders" and "experts" want.

Take a look at this news story out of New Zealand:

Central Hawke's Bay to Continue Fluoridation

Excerpt:

19 November 2009

After a thorough consultation process with the local community, Central Hawke’s Bay District Council has decided to continue to fluoridate the Waipukurau water supply.

Mayor Trish Giddens said today that Council was happy with the consultation process and had heard good information both ‘for’ and ‘against’ fluoridation. A public meeting was held, and experts were called to speak and provide information.

Council considered all information as well as a local survey which showed 439 wanted to stop fluoridation, and 297 wanted to continue fluoridation. Strong support of fluoridation was shown by the Ministry of Health with doctors, dentists, and public health officials informing Council of the detrimental effects on populations once fluoride was stopped in water supplies.

The question of continuing or stopping fluoridation was asked as the fluoride dosing system at the Waipukurau water treatment plant was due to be replaced – and Council considered it timely to ask the community their views about fluoride.

“There was no consultation with the public when fluoridation began in Waipukurau in 1979 as it was seen as an important health issue at the time. This Council has consulted with the public and professionals, and it seems it is still a very important health issue. That is why Council has decided to continue to fluoridate the Waipukurau water supply.”

Plattsburgh, NY council votes to KEEP fluoridating water

.

Well, the Plattsburgh, NY city council took a vote and fluoridation (the poisoning of the community) will continue.

I'd like to point-out some interesting items in the article:

City votes to keep fluoride

Published November 19, 2009

PLATTSBURGH — City of Plattsburgh councilors voted in favor of keeping fluoride in the city’s drinking water.

Councilors Timothy Carpenter (D-Ward 1), George Rabideau (R-Ward 3), James Calnon (I-Ward 4) and Chris Jackson (D-Ward 6) voted against a measure to remove fluoride from the city’s water supply while Michael Kelly (D-Ward 2) and Amy Valentine (D-Ward 5) voted in favor of its removal Thursday night.

The vote came after about an hour’s worth of comments from the public and debate among the council.

Opponents of fluoride have argued for the better part of the past year that the chemical is dangerous and can lead to serious health issues.

They also argue against the systematic delivery of fluoride to the public through the drinking-water supply.

Supporters of fluoride say that it promotes healthy teeth and is not a health threat.

During the public comment period, five people spoke out against the use of fluoride in the city’s drinking water.

“The question is not whether the product or the dosage meets government standards; it’s whether the government standards, as they have been in the past, are based on too little research and on faulty assumptions,” Richard Robbins, husband of Valentine, said.

No one spoke in favor of fluoride.

Kelly said studies have shown that infants and people with heart or kidney disease, diabetes and vitamin C and magnesium deficiencies should not have fluoride.

“That means that about 25 percent of the people of this city should not have fluoride,” Kelly said to his fellow councilors.

“So, are you willing to vote to allow these individuals to suffer because of your decision?”

Rabideau said he was supporting fluoride because local, state and federal agencies have said that it is safe.

Carpenter and Jackson both said they supported keeping fluoride based on recommendations from local and state health departments and federal agencies.

“If the Board of Health changes its mind tomorrow then I will change my vote,” Carpenter said.

Jackson said he, too, would go with government recommendations.

“I have no medical background so this is a tough one for me,” he said.

Following the meeting, Paula Calkins-Lacombe, director of the Clinton County Health Department, who attended the meeting with several other Health Department representatives, said that in her 30-plus years in the public health field in the community, she has seen no epidemic of fluoride-related illnesses.

---------------------------------------------

Unbelievable.

Just freakin' unbelievable.

Someday, all of this insanity that's STILL happening, although it's no longer 1955, will make blood-letting look brilliant in comparison in the annals of history.

News article from Australia PROVES fluoride is useless

.

.

Here's an article out of Australia which pretty much proves that fluoride has NOTHING to do with dental health, but it's everyone's diet instead:

Casey alarm at toddlers’ teeth

LESS than 11 per cent of Casey children have seen a dentist by their third birthday.

Child Dental Health Surveys have identified a worrying rise in decayed, missing or filled teeth in the area’s four-year-olds since 1998.

Now Casey-Cardinia dentists are urging parents to take toddlers’ dental health more seriously, warning decay in baby teeth can lead to problems later on.

Fountain Gate Dental Care surgeon Desmond Yiu said he had recently filled cavities in children as young as three.

“I’m finding a lot more tooth decay in children than I would expect, particularly given how readily available fluoride is in water and toothpaste,” Dr Yiu said

“There is definitely an attitude out there that because they are just “baby teeth” there’s no need to worry. But that is a very distressing attitude. Parents need to understand that decay in a child’s first set of teeth can lead to problems in their permanent ones.”

Dr Yiu said poor diet was the cause of the concerning trend.

“There has been a cultural change towards high sugar drinks that are very damaging to teeth,” he said.

Dr Yiu said parents should book their children in for their first dental appointment at 12-24 months of age.

Most of Europe has rejected fluoridating their water supply

.

Most of Europe has now systematically rejected fluoridating their water supply

Q1 What European countries have either rejected fluoridating their water supply or have taken it out? How can I verify this?

A1 : Almost all of Europe has now removed fluoride from the water supply either dur to health concerns or has refused the attempts to place it in the water to begin with. In order to verify the fluoridation status, please click on the link for the original source document discussing the issue.

European countries rejecting fluoride

November 2004: After months of consulation, Scotland - which is currently unfluoridated - rejected plans to add fluoride to the nation's water.

April 9, 2003: The City Parliament of Basel, Switzerland voted 73 to 23 to stop Basel's 41 year water fluoridation program. Basel was the only city in Switzerland to fluoridate its water, and the only city in continental western Europe, outside of a few areas in Spain.

Germany:

"Generally, in Germany fluoridation of drinking water is forbidden. The relevant German law allows exceptions to the fluoridation ban on application. The argumentation of the Federal Ministry of Health against a general permission of fluoridation of drinking water is the problematic nature of compuls[ory] medication." (Gerda Hankel-Khan, Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany, September 16, 1999).

France:

"Fluoride chemicals are not included in the list [of 'chemicals for drinking water treatment']. This is due to ethical as well as medical considerations." (Louis Sanchez, Directeur de la Protection de l'Environment, August 25, 2000).

Belgium:

"This water treatment has never been of use in Belgium and will never be (we hope so) into the future. The main reason for that is the fundamental position of the drinking water sector that it is not its task to deliver medicinal treatment to people. This is the sole responsibility of health services." (Chr. Legros, Directeur, Belgaqua, Brussels, Belgium, February 28, 2000). fluoridation.com/c-belgium.htm

Luxembourg:

"Fluoride has never been added to the public water supplies in Luxembourg. In our views, the drinking water isn't the suitable way for medicinal treatment and that people needing an addition of fluoride can decide by their own to use the most appropriate way, like the intake of fluoride tablets, to cover their [daily] needs." (Jean-Marie RIES, Head, Water Department, Administration De L'Environment, May 3, 2000). http://www.fluoridealert.org/luxembourg.jpeg

Finland:

"We do not favor or recommend fluoridation of drinking water. There are better ways of providing the fluoride our teeth need." (Paavo Poteri, Acting Managing Director, Helsinki Water, Finland, February 7, 2000). http://www.fluoridation.com/c-finland.htm

"Artificial fluoridation of drinking water supplies has been practiced in Finland only in one town, Kuopio, situated in eastern Finland and with a population of about 80,000 people (1.6% of the Finnish population). Fluoridation started in 1959 and finished in 1992 as a result of the resistance of local population. The most usual grounds for the resistance presented in this context were an individual's right to drinking water without additional chemicals used for the medication of limited population groups. A concept of "force-feeding" was also mentioned.

Drinking water fluoridation is not prohibited in Finland but no municipalities have turned out to be willing to practice it. Water suppliers, naturally, have always been against dosing of fluoride chemicals into water." (Leena Hiisvirta, M.Sc., Chief Engineer, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Finland, January 12, 1996.) http://www.fluoridealert.org/finland.jpeg

Denmark:

"We are pleased to inform you that according to the Danish Ministry of Environment and Energy, toxic fluorides have never been added to the public water supplies. Consequently, no Danish city has ever been fluoridated." (Klaus Werner, Royal Danish Embassy, Washington DC, December 22, 1999).

Norway:

"In Norway we had a rather intense discussion on this subject some 20 years ago, and the conclusion was that drinking water should not be fluoridated." (Truls Krogh & Toril Hofshagen, Folkehelsa Statens institutt for folkeheise (National Institute of Public Health) Oslo, Norway, March 1, 2000). http://www.fluoridation.com/c-norway.htm

Sweden:

"Drinking water fluoridation is not allowed in Sweden...New scientific documentation or changes in dental health situation that could alter the conclusions of the Commission have not been shown." (Gunnar Guzikowski, Chief Government Inspector, Livsmedels Verket -- National Food Administration Drinking Water Division, Sweden, February 28, 2000). http://www.fluoridation.com/c-sweden.htm

Netherlands:

"From the end of the 1960s until the beginning of the 1970s drinking water in various places in the Netherlands was fluoridated to prevent caries. However, in its judgement of 22 June 1973 in case No. 10683 (Budding and co. versus the City of Amsterdam) the Supreme Court (Hoge Road) ruled there was no legal basis for fluoridation. After that judgement, amendment to the Water Supply Act was prepared to provide a legal basis for fluoridation. During the process it became clear that there was not enough support from Parlement [sic] for this amendment and the proposal was withdrawn." (Wilfred Reinhold, Legal Advisor, Directorate Drinking Water, Netherlands, January 15, 2000). http://www.fluoridation.com/c-netherlands.htm

Northern Ireland:

"The water supply in Northern Ireland has never been artificially fluoridated except in 2 small localities where fluoride was added to the water for about 30 years up to last year. Fluoridation ceased at these locations for operational reasons. At this time, there are no plans to commence fluoridation of water supplies in Northern Ireland." (C.J. Grimes, Department for Regional Development, Belfast, November 6, 2000).

Austria:

"Toxic fluorides have never been added to the public water supplies in Austria." (M. Eisenhut, Head of Water Department, Osterreichische Yereinigung fur das Gas-und Wasserfach Schubertring 14, A-1015 Wien, Austria, February 17, 2000).

Czech Republic:

"Since 1993, drinking water has not been treated with fluoride in public water supplies throughout the Czech Republic. Although fluoridation of drinking water has not actually been proscribed it is not under consideration because this form of supplementation is considered:

uneconomical (only 0.54% of water suitable for drinking is used as such; the remainder is employed for hygiene etc. Furthermore, an increasing amount of consumers (particularly children) are using bottled water for drinking (underground water usually with fluor)
unecological (environmental load by a foreign substance)
unethical ("forced medication")
toxicologically and phyiologically debateable (fluoridation represents an untargeted form of supplementation which disregards actual individual intake and requirements and may lead to excessive health-threatening intake in certain population groups; [and] complexation of fluor in water into non biological active forms of fluor." (Dr. B. Havlik, Ministerstvo Zdravotnictvi Ceske Republiky, October 14, 1999). http://www.fluoridealert.org/czech.jpeg

Q2: I heard that Europe offers fluoride in it's salt. Isn't that the same as fluoridating the water supply?

A2: Yes, some European counties offer salt with fluoride. This allows anyone whio still wishes to ingest fluoride do so and be able to regulate the dose or not use it at all.

Offering the public a choice of purchasing fluoride in salt permits Europeans to follow their health care provider's advice, their own medical needs and their own preferences and not be forcibly medicated.

However, France has now banned even salt products containing fluoride removing even the choice of it's residents to use fluoride because of health concerns.

Here's my prayer to God I posted in my local forums about this

.

There's a thread in my local forums about Mosaic, the DARTH VADER of companies based out of central Florida (Polk County) where I live which mines phosphate and - as a result - the toxic fluoride that's being dumped in all our water supplies.

Anyhow, I posted a prayer to God in that thread about Mosaic and those who are complicit in their crimes.

Here it is:

http://forums.theledger.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=5151088265&f=...

My prayer to God is this:

I pray that all of those OWN and who WORK for Mosaic - who KNOW that they are poisoning Americans with fluoride - and those in government who are looking the other way so they all can make a buck - will ALL come down with horrible cancers and other horrible neurological diseases of which fluoride causes -

Lord, we pray you deliver the innocent from their evil clutches as you use your watchmen to educate the public about how we are all being poisoned -

All of these things we ask of you, God -

Amen.

George Gordon's Series on "The Fluoride Deception"

.

In case you all haven't heard George Gordon's take on this issue -

He gives a rundown of the history of how fluoride was used in the Manhattan Project and how Professor Harold C Hodge conducted top-secret experiments on humans regarding its toxicity during WWII - from the Book "The Fluoride Deception".

These crooks also had to think of a way to place this poison in our drinking supply and sell it to the public that it was/is "healthy":

I studied fluoride about 10

I studied fluoride about 10 years ago and there are a few ways to get it out of water.

First is reverse osmosis filtration systems. They are about 1000 bucks for a good one and works by pushing water through a very thin membrane.

Then there's distillation where you pour water into basically what amounts to a rice cooker and the lighter than air stuff floats off while the heavy stuff sinks to the bottom. So only water remains in a small container. They have 1 and 5 gallon distillers.

If you ever use a distiller and remove the chlorine, fluorides and minerals, what is left on the bottom literally smells like strong urine and is yellow in color. It's pretty gross what you drink. Water treatment companies use many chemicals in the water to treat it.

The last way is to collect rain water and treat it with filtration yourself. They sell 50 gallon drum kits where the run-off from your homes roof gets diverted into the drum.

The most convenient way is reverse osmosis, and it will only get most of the bad stuff out.

Filters?

What about water purifiers that work by vaporizing water and then condensing the steam. Some of those actually have mineral cups so that the water doesn't taste bad. Flouride isn't in that is it?

Spring water always has low levels of fluoride

Spring water will virtually always contain naturally occurring fluoride.

To get fluoride free water, look for bottles that say "Purified"

Not all purified waters are fluoride free, but it does take some kind of purification process to get rid of it.

Neslte's Pure Life Purified Water has no detectable levels of fluoride.

http://www.nestle-purelife.us/about/default.asp

Sure there are others brands that are fluoride free, but that site will give you an idea what to look for in fluoride free waters and what the purification process is.

I use Primo bottled water on

I use Primo bottled water on occasion. The bottles are not made from crude oil, but plants instead. Helps reduce dependence on foreign oil.

I wonder why

fluoride is so hard to remove from water, is it by design? I have a big berkey and I hate the white filters that they say takes out the fluoride, they don't work and are a pain to put on. I hate that I have to pay all of this money to filter my water and it doesn't even remove fluoride.

Turn that frown upside down

You hate it and it's a pain. The white and black filters don't remove fluoride. Well, you need the extra KDF filters. Yep, it costs a bunch of money. What better things do you have to spend your money on than clean water? Your body is 70% water. Does somebody owe you free clean water? Does the universe owe you free clean water? Why don't you just trust the government to clean your water?

Don't work?

What do you mean?

Pineal gland and flouride

look it up...it is frightening
