Top executives at Blackwater Worldwide authorized secret payments of about $1 million to Iraqi officials that were intended to silence their criticism and buy their support after a September 2007 episode in which Blackwater security guards fatally shot 17 Iraqi civilians in Baghdad, according to former company officials.

* Fedor I hope you will watch the videos above and this one...you are correct about the dangerous ideology of Blackwater in particular.. but that is only the tip of the iceberg. There are many similar companies that are not fundamentalist based. However, they are ALL power and PROFIT based.

The larger picture here is Privatizing Wars for Profits...of course it is in the best interest for these companies that wars continue (and to even start or inflame conflicts )
Blackwater ( Xe ) being the most notorious and the one that is staffed by mostly fundalmentalist 'c'hristians. Blackwater uses religion as a tool for recruitment but thier interest is in profits. There are hundreds of these private contractors. They have a huge lobby in D.C. so the politicians get thier kickbacks from these companies and many are directly invested in them such as KBR , Halliburton and Dyncorp
