but I highly doubt she's an 'African' American. Was she born in Africa? Does she hold dual citizenship with an African nation?
Sorry about being off topic...but the phrase 'African' American(when talking about a black American) always bugs me. Growing up I had a good friend that actually was an African American...he was white, born in South Africa, and immigrated here with his family when he was 8. We always thought how stupid it sounded for an American, with no connection to Africa, to proclaim they're African American because of the color of their skin. Strange.
