Screw Chuck Norris, he agreed with Hannity that Ron Paul is "nuts"

He just agreed with Hannity that Ron Paul is a nut. Chuck should have threatened to choke slam Hannity for saying that, instead he did some Huckabee cheer leading.

hannity is just mad and resentful. When...

Ron Paul supporters kicked Hannity and his film crew out of A Ron Paul election rally back in 2008. Hannity is either genuinely clueless, or loyal to the Neo-con artists for the reason... I think everyone knows by now.
He can play dumb, or keep trying play the hyper Neocon loyalty to the fed crap all he wants- he is not fooling anyone anymore.

I am sure the founding fathers were called crazy by the fearful limeys that did not go with them...yet Ron Paul supporters were first mocked at the start of the first election, through the months they predicted what was going to happen over and over with the economy and elected officials and it has all come true. Now those that mocked us- Now support us and the truth.

LIBERTY OR DEATH!!!

If Ron Paul is going to run successfully in 2012 ...

Slimeballs, such as Sean Insanity need to be neutralized. Chuck Norris was NOT helpful, repeating Insanity's claim Ron Paul is "nuts". Ron Paul's campaign needs to neutralize slimeballs such as "Insanity,: "Bill OReally?" and "Chis Wall-ass." These three would not be allowed to say such things about Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, and this should be made very clear to the network. Dr. Paul has more leverage than he imagines. He could boycott Fox News, except for Judge Napolitano's show, or even join the media attack on Fox News ("the enemy of my enemy is my friend." ) That may not be Dr. Paul's way, but he certainly needs an "attack dog" on his campaign staff, and he needs them right NOW..

Chuck Norris also needs to be reminded, it takes more courage to defend your beliefs and your friend, that it does to hit somebody. He should have verbally ripped Hannity a new one, not laughed it off.

I disagree

and I applaud Chuck Norris for having the good humor to laugh it off. The rage some of us exhibited during the last election cycle turned people who might have otherwise been sympathetic to us, off. Ron Paul himself is good natured, and only expresses anger when it's righteous. He doesn't waste it on the likes of a joker like Sean Hannity! A boycott's not a bad idea, though, a non-confrontational free market solution...I like it!

Chuck could have said any

Chuck could have said any one of 435 names for the most honest Congressman and he used RP as the one to help him pick out others worth keeping. He had me at that.
Ron is nuts in the eyes of many or most main stream conservatives because he stands in the face of many old traditions and institutions, encouraging another look. Change is difficult, unless it is more of the same.

I think Chuck's comeback completey neutered Hannity's jab.

It took the negative power in Hannity's backhanded compliment and turned it around and made "nuts" look positive. :)

"Yeah, I know. That's why I like him."

Who knows, it might make someone wonder why he said that and look into RP. After all, he made Ron Paul the exception to those he wanted to choke in Congress and lauded him for his honesty.

I think ...

Norris respects Ron Paul but is not very comfortable with the back and forth dynamic of interviews and mis-spoke in an attempt to keep the flow of conversation going. He gets nervous and has trouble collecting and expressing his thoughts. Hannity interrupted his train of thought and Chuck quickly responded without thinking and then tried to carry on with what he had been saying. I doubt that Norris would have intentionally insulted Dr. Paul after paying him the compliment of being the most honest man in congress. After all, the compliment was not half-hearted.

Good analysis.

Chuck's specialty is martial arts and acting in cheesy kung-fu movies, not debating neocon blowhards like Hannity, so he slipped up a little bit. His intentions were good, I'm not going to hate on Chuck for it.

yeah, he looked intimidated.

Some people

Are so blinded by rage they cannot see a compliment that is right in front of them. Chuck Norris likes Ron Paul and there is nothing you can do about it. No amount of crazed rage will change that fact.

Hannibal may have been underhanded with his "Nuts" quote but Chuck corrected him stating "that's why I like him." Why people as missing this fact is beyond me. Must be something in the water. That or to much fluoride on the brain. I.Q. dropped below that critical thinker threshold.

Exactly

Just a mention of Ron on Hannity is a win, especially because of the reaction. Chuck doesn't care, he likes him. A lot of Ron's ideas are seen as crazy by the general public, we're working on fixing that.

If Hannity thinks says you are nuts, you probably threaten him.

Yep

If Sean Hannity called me "nuts," I'd take it as a compliment!

"to much fluoride on the brain"

Uhm.... That would be TOO much fluoride on the brain, not "to".

Some examples to help you.

Ah

The "Proper English" police. Fair enough. Where I have poor grammar you have poor intellect. A fair trade seeing as how proper English is your only argument against my side of the Chuck Norris debate.

Have fun being the grammar police. Its the only thing you've been good at on this web-site.

Screw Chuck Norris?

Technically, he agreed with Hannity Ron Paul is "nuts," but continued by saying "that's why like him." Norris equated "nuts" with "honest," which is actually a compliment.

What?! That was GREAT!

Didn't you hear his opening comments about Dr. Paul???

Change the Title!

He wants RP to clean house man! Come on! GO CHUCK GO CHUCK!

Also, just mentioning the name on Hannity was soooo Chucktastic!

after watching this clip

mixed feelings - anyways the mention of Ron's name will surely get some people to do their own research...

It's a nice thought LL, but no it wont.

Most people that watch people like Hannity, or O'Reilly, and the rest, are too LAZY to do research. That's why they watch these shows, so that they can have these people do their thinking for them, and give them their talking points, to share around the water cooler the next morning.

No biggie...overall Norris complimented Paul

Norris basically said:

1. Ron Paul is honest

2. Ron Paul has moral superiority (can pick out the ones that need disciplining)

3. Ron Paul adheres to his principle so much...even when it makes him look nutty...aka...the right kind of nut

I know that some people will translate Norris' nut comment negatively, but overall I think most will get some or all of the above impact.

I am a bit surprised Hannity. In terms of how the media and politicians are shining up to Ron Paul, how can Hannity still blurt out "He's a nut".

Hannity was trying to transition

He said, "I like him, he's a nut." You could see on Chuck's face the moment he brought Ron up that he knew this was not something Hannity wanted to hear. Then Hannity interjected, trying not to seem totally insincere about his prior disdain, which he can no longer do because Dr. Paul is so popular and Hannity will lose more credibility if he keeps hounding him. So he said, "I like him, he's a nut," offhandedly and Chuck stood up to the comment with integrity and said, "That's why I like him." It was actually really good for Dr. Paul and for us. I don't like this title.

The problem is not for those that already know about Paul.

The problem is that Hannity is planting the nut seed in the heads of those that don't know anything about Paul.

"Sure, Ron Paul may be a good guy, but I hear he's kind of nutty."

There's no excuse for this bullshit.

Ron Paul's Convention Speech

outreach

Once people are turned on to the message, they don't leave RP and the like. Therefore we have a lot of one-to-one personal contact to turn people on to the freedom message.

good point

Poor Showing by Chuck Norris

In one sentence Chuck says he specifically trusts Ron Paul out of all the congressmen to point out the traitors, yet in the next he acquiesced to Sean Hannity's insult. That's shameful.

If anything he should have defended Ron Paul since he had just praised him as one of the most honest, and said anyone that thinks Ron Paul is nuts is probably really the nut themselves.

Ron Paul's Convention Speech

Some of you want to see the glass as half empty.

Hannity said "I LIKE Ron Paul - He's crazy. :)" That's pretty good, considering that he disagrees with his foreign policy. He could have said "I DON'T like Ron Paul - He's crazy. :-|"

And even heard the saying "crazy like a fox"? I think it's pretty obvious when Norris said "that's why I like him," that's the kind of thing he had in mind.

I suggest not being so sensitive and looking for negatives. I'm sure Ron Paul can handle a little teasing.

I do not say this to offend or belittle

but to share something someone once shared with me.

We are all familiar with the glass half empty/ half full argument. If you see the glass as half empty you are labeled a pessimist. If you see the glass half full you are an optimist.

But neither is true. In fact this is a game that has been played on us to manipulate and control us.

Here is why. A glass cannot be half empty or half full. It IS as EQUALLY empty as FULL.

The entire use of this phrase and the assignment of a personality type through it's use is merely a type of MIND CONTROL aka mental manipulation.

cool argument

thanks for pointing that out!

"aka mental manipulation."

Excellent points Black Ops.

That was a direct attack on Ron Paul, and a straight up cower from Chuck Norris.

Hi Jefferson

It shocks me that people (including myself sometimes) still fall for these purveyors of public opinion.

Hannity has proven himself a hard core Neo-Con. Folks please wake up the Neo-cons are in FACT COMMUNIST. Please do 10 minutes of research on Leo Strauss and Irving Kristol, Bill "Bloody" Kristols father. They were hard core Neo-Marxist and Neo-Trotskyites.

Hannity does NOTHING but pimp for these COMMUNIST.

As far a Chucky Norris he just your garden variety pop culture icon who lives in a bubble.
