Any short-wave folks out there with any input from the Ukraine?

Since our own government and media (same thing really) are silent on the topic, are any DP'ers listening 'over the back fence'?
Can we get any credible reports out of the region? Anything verifiable?

Shortwave Radio. The long and the short of it.

If you are into amatuer radio operation (ham) then I suggest you search the "maritime nets". Their is lot's of activity, lot's of "active frequency" sharing, and with "long distance" check in's, you can "talk" directly with the other DX'ers about things going on in their country.
(you may get involved with Skype chat rooms, very international, and don't need a radio, just access to internet)
MOBILE MARITIME HAM-RADIO NETS
This is a very good and useful selection of Ham-Radio Nets extracted from the listings in the Marine Electrical & Electronics Bible. If you are not a licensed operator, invest in a receiver only and listen in to the nets, the information can be invaluable.

thanks for the links
I think it may be wise to look into shortwave radio as another alternative source. ANyone out there have any recommendations? I'm looking at a Grundig from the shack for under $70. Anyone know if I need to run an antenna up the chimney?

Barack Obama has shares in Baxter
The President of the United States, Barack Obama has shares in Baxter, the company many say is responsible for the h1n1 swine flu pande ic. Back 2005 Barack Obama bought $50,000 worth of stock in two companies.
Right after he bought the shares also in 2005 Barack Obama (still a senator at that time) introduced the first comprehensive bill to address the threat
of avian influenza pandemic. AVIAN Act (S. 969)

"Ukraine and World Pneumonic Plague Information
This Blog is strictly about what is going on in the Ukraine and possibly spreading in the area. I have been doing the postings on my blog: Sherriequestioningall blog, but this is an ongoing problem that needs it's own information page. I WILL CONTINUALLY UPDATE WITH INFORMATION AND NEWS AS I FIND IT ON WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE UKRAINE!"

It is chilling that many countries and
their media march in lock-step to keep news from the people of the world.
They deny people information needed for individual decisions to keep them dependent despite government incompetence to make wise decisions. The quickest way to stop their blackouts is to deny them funding from all of us in the productive sector.
People are waking up to the dangers and the trickery, now they need to make the connection between the huge budgets they allow governments and the repression of information and freedom everywhere.

This video
you linked, Celeste, needs to go viral! I am so po'd right now! Twice I attempted to comment and it's pending approval by frickin youtube! I did 5-star it, favorited it, bookmarked it for further review, and gave all the comments a thumbs-up (which also appears to be pending approval, since my ratings of comments is not showing)...
