Did Anyone Watch ABC's "V" ?

The "V" episode has strong political overtones. The visitors, "V", remind me of the New World Order promoters. They say they stand for peace, but in reality they have something evil in mind. They control the media through propaganda and have V's infiltrated throughout different institutions of society. The first episode was the best. Does anyone else have any thoughts about the series?

Exciting

But the series promotes to us what we already knew: We are reptile food. OM NOM NOM

truth liberate

Did you notice in the last episode...

Did you notice in the last episode, the Vs use vaccine as a biological wepons?

Yeah, it kinda made me think that

people who oppose vaccines are going to be labeled as whackos, kind of like that stuff only happens in TV not in real life.

I have a complaint

You guys got me to watch this show. I liked it. The next episode is in March??? I hate TV.

The political aspects of the show are not your imagination.

The show was originally (in the 80's) planned as a story of the rise of American fascism. ABC at the time decided they wanted a sci-fi flick, so the story was re-imaged. The current show is a rewrite of the 80's miniseries.

I saw the first two episodes

I saw the first two episodes of the new series. I loved it.

Who can you trust?

"Who can you trust?" is a universal and common theme in movies, from "V" to L.A. Confidential.

I don't trust voters, their elected representatives, or government employees when it comes to my life. No offense, but you guys don't know what's best for me.

We need to reserve the right as individuals to change our minds about who to trust with what.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Gave new meaning to "Universal Healthcare"

First of all, the original mini-series was the best. It was WWII resistance updated, and very well done.

DO NOT BUY the so-called "complete series" which was the worst TV series ever. It appeared to have been written by network executives after the series creator left. It's a lesson in bad writing, if you like that kind of thing.

The new series is interesting, and the best line was the one where the Aliens offer "universal healthcare."

It is no accident that many sci-fi stories are written by libertarians. We're the ones who can see the future.

people are being prepared

people are being prepared for the coming of the Anti Christ... thats all it is.

A prudent man foresees the difficulties ahead and prepares for them; the simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. Proverbs 22:3
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to
send peace on earth: I came not to send peace,
but a sword.

While "Battlestar Galactica" was a MUCH better show...

"V" draws on a lot of UFO lore regarding the "Lizard people". I just hope it doesn't talk itself to death.

'Take me to your leader.'

Come this way, sir. Meet Dr. Kissinger and his top deputy Sen. Joe Lieberman.

I watched the 3rd episode

During this one, they said 'people are afraid of change, it's normal'

Real eyes realize real lies

We want our country back

Every year is a year for Ron Paul!

bump

.

Seemed like it promotes a new world order...

After all, what better excuse than an out of space threat...

Now I liked the original much better...much more classy..

Did you watch the episode?

Or read/watch the links that two people sent below. The original series had political overtones in favor of liberals. This new series is anti-Obama?

I totally agree with you Mike,

and a very Happy Birthday to you with wishes for many more!

Thanks northstar!!!

I knew I wasn't crazy for seeing the overtones...with that said, are you with the V's or against them?!? Just kidding, lol, this is the DP!

Nice find northstar. You're always on the scent.

He directly mentions the obama/politicians and universal health care.
But, that's something you might see on south park satire.

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”
