Glenn Beck on the New World Order 11/17/09
Submitted by Carlin-Equities on Tue, 11/17/2009 - 22:43This is from the Glenn Beck show today 11/17/09
Beck tries to portray economic collapse as engineered in order to bring about world government (a la Alex Jones), while the person he interviews, Damon Vickers, downplays the conspiracy theory version of things. But both agree that we're on the path to World Government, whether the economy collapses from well-meaning but misguided economic policy or due to a socialist conspiracy to destroy the economy.
Beck tries to push the New World Order view later again in the show and another guest blows him off by ignoring the point. This part isn't in the clip though.

Well, he's not my favorite
but when they get at least a bit of truth out there, it does make me feel good.

Not such a big deal, if you think about it
The elites have been speaking matter-of-factly about the New World Order for, what, 40 years or more? I think the phrase originated with the Trilateral Commission in the early 70s. There's footage of leaders like G.H.W. Bush talking about The New World Order...if people want to laugh about a phrase, concept and project that world leaders have been working toward in all earnestness, let them. They'll find out soon enough it's no joke.
Perhaps we've reached a tipping point where you cannot retain your credibility without acknowledging that plans for global governance exist and steps toward it are being carried out. No other explanation for the government deliberately ruining our economy holds water.
Although I'm leary of ALL these days
I think more of Glenn Beck than I do of Alex Jones. To me, Alex Jones is a much bigger whore. I've always thought that Alex Jones was F.O.S.. I've seen a transition in Glenn Beck. Hell, I've had a huge transition myself. I've always been Libertarian leaning but have had some beliefs in the past that I'm ashamed of now. I'm willing to give Glenn Beck the benefit of the doubt. I think he's brought more awareness to things being "wrong" with the government to the masses than we have thanks to his "mainstreamness".
Glenn Beck is crap, littering this good site.

Here's Nov. 6 article on Damon Vickers
"We don't have resources. Neither does a lot of Asia to be quite frank," Vickers said on CNBC's Asia Squawk Box. "Countries that have resources -- the Brazils, the Canadas, Australia -- their currencies are doing well."
"They have stuff. They've got resources. They export real things. The United States exports 'promises' and 'pretty paper'," he added.

It's Called:
Conrolled opposition people. This Vickers guy think it is real but unavoidable. Beck will at some point tell us that we need to accept it. That's the way it works.
"We are the inheritors of the American Enlightenment, which tells us that Individual Liberty always trumps collectivism in all forms."
"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain
Beck is trying to be a mainstream Alex Jones
Alex Jones had this guy as a guest on his show the day before Beck.

wish...
I could trust Beck.
'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul
What is meant by that?
I've heard people before saying they don't "trust" Beck. In what sense? And why the need to trust TV personalities? It's not like he's candidate running for office. Please explain.
As someone who doesnt trust
As someone who doesnt trust Beck, I think he probably means that he doesn't trust that Beck is in our camp politically, even if his information thus far has largely been solid.
Ventura 2012
Has he ever claimed to be in
"our camp"?
he does call himself a
he does call himself a libertarian sometimes. More importantly, I think Beck bashers are trying to point out to others that might be Beck fans that he is in fact NOT one of us thus far.
Ventura 2012
Ah,
Well i like to give people some leeway on "libertarian." After all it just means believe in liberty. Anarcho-capitalists will tell people who believe in limited government that we're not true libertarians.
Unless you know exactly how a person is defining the term, and you find out they have secret beliefs they're trying to hide from you that conflict with that, I don't think it makes sense to consider them untrustworthy.
That is true that the
That is true that the anarcho-capitalists have been beggars with thick necks recently.
I think the point is that he is not worthy of the trust of people in this movement, because he is likely to turn people astray by drawing false implications. We don't trust him enough to recommend him to our friends and family. The only reason we would even THINK to trust him is because he talks a REALLY good game that is close to our own. However, evidence like his crazy rambling about Obama being a racist and supporting the wars/patriot act/bailouts tend to lower our trust that he is sincere.
Ventura 2012
I agree with that.
He is kind of unpredictable, which would also make me hesitant to recommend him as someone to look to for guidance.
It was a good show tonite.
He also talked a lot about how how the Fed is the culprit because it creates all the bubbles.
