I just saw footage on my local broadcasting station, there appeared to be much more unrest in the video I saw, with people being lead away by police officers.

I'm quite surprised this is the pretty much the only information I found regarding the event, aside from what I saw on WGBH Boston. Did anyone else see this on the MSM or anything?

The koreans are famous for full time protesting. They love it apparently. Everyday there are new groups and organizations making use of the space in front of the US embassy etc...Perhaps the constant noise waters down the important messages a bit. I doubt its getting much special coverage in Seoul.

You're right

that's what my brother in South Korea mentioned to me, they protest in Seoul all the time. They really went at it after that one Korean leader threw himself off a cliff a while back.

I wouldn't expect

the American MSM to make a big deal out of this. I'll e-mail my brother in South Korea (he's not in Seoul) to see how big of news it's been there.

.

I believe they mentioned BO was in the area to give a speech or something? I can't confirm that though, as I was more fixated at the images... /blush
