Limbaugh opens his show with discussion and link to a Prison Planet article

A Prison Planet article exposing Al Gores' "Photoshop" manipulation of facts gave Rush Limbaugh the ammunition he chose to feature during the opening of today's show.
He even gave the link to it a prominent place on his website.

I suspect it will drive numbers to his site like he's never seen before, but who do you think will be the "net" winner for time spent on both?

Rush started out being
with us...but they got to him. Forget Rush...he is on the other team...now that he got his.
Rush is taking calls from the "awakend" daily.
And Rush does not make it a habit to "plug" other radio hosts or stations.
Rush Limbaugh is educating and awakening new people by thousands everyday. His influence is legendary, and a legend that will historically be seen as a freedom fighter.
And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”
Rush serves as nothing more than controlled opposition
Sorry to have to strenuously disagree with you here, RFL, but characters like Limbaugh and Beck are made prominent as standard-bearers to make entertaining and reasonable-sounding statements of fact that appeal to the educationally dumbed-down, media-mesmerized masses while purposely keeping them from fully waking up.
This Prison Planet article serves as a case in point. If Rush were truly calling his audience to follow him in his "relentless pursuit of the truth", then he wouldn't swerve off course like he has here with no explanation why, would he?
In distancing himself from the source of the information that he previously cited, and inappropriately crediting someone else for it, Rush may be, "educating and awakening new people", but not at all in the sense that you are referring to.
Read my comments below, and see why I believe his final legacy will be more infamous than you are willing to give him credit for.

the A/J link to this story? He even changed the sourcing in the transcript to "Der Spiegel" instead of Paul Joseph Watson, who he mentioned yesterday. What I think is hilarious is that it proves that he DIDNT KNOW what Prison Planet was yesterday! He got ZAPPED by TRUTH! hahahahahahaha

Here's an update on the Rush website/ Prison Planet debacle
Since he was quoting from Paul Joseph Watsons' article on PrisonPlanet.com, you'd think that correctly attributing his source would be the ethical, (even legal and moral), right thing to do!
But no; either the ridicule of being too closely associated with Alex Jones by his neo-con peers, or the welcome response he received from those he has routinely called kooks, (i.e. liberty-loving constitutionalists), or both, has given us an insightful view into the way Limbaughs' moral compass guides him in times of trouble: LIE!!!
Der Spiegel wasn't the source of the article he opened his show with. The recording preserved on YouTube has it in his own voice saying, "Prison Planet dot com", as the editor of the video repeats at the end for emphasis.

Now there are even some who have gone so far as to say that there never was a link to it on his website on Limbaughs' website to PrisonPlanet.com, as if it was all made up by those conspiracy kooks. Others wrote damning critiques of Rush by association with his disfavored sources and not the veracity of their info. In this case one blogger critiqued anothers bloggers' critique and neither liked AJ, to put it mildly.

To me all this serves as a valuable lesson. If you are unwilling to follow the truth wherever it leads, then quit telling others that you are, "on a relentless pursuit of the truth"! Everyone can see by this example, Rush, where you are willing to stop short of it, turn, and run the other way.

Hey Elviejo, thanks for the transcript link to Rushs' show, but check this out! Even though the picture on the right says, "Spiegelonline 'Climatologists Baffled by Global Warming Time-Out.'", when you click on it, IT STILL TAKES YOU TO THE PRISONPLANET.COM ARTICLE!
What a hoot! Now anyone can pull up the YouTube audio while following the transcript, see where it leaves out his attributing the source to PrisonPlanet.com, click on the picture attributing it to Der Spiegel, and find themselves at the original Paul Joseph Watson article on Prisonplanet.com, complete with video clips of AJs new documentary, "Fall of the Republic"!
I know not many of Limbaughs' listeners are likely to do all that on their own, but we can still guide them there, at least until he gets flack for this being uncovered.;-)

He has certainly been one of the major disappointments to me
as I have awakened. I try to pass off some of his positions to just not knowing about some of the stuff we know. But then he does something like this..... or NOT even MENTIONING the audit the Fed bill - EVER..... and it seems more and more that he is not as "ignorant" as I hoped..... more like bought and paid for. VERY disappointing.

Alex was discussing what this acknowledgment may have meant during his time with Webster Tarpley, because he said that Limbaugh had trashed him and his sites in the past.
My guess is that maybe he hopes to tap into Jones' ascendancy in ratings, and gain some favor from an audience that he believes that he can no longer successfully ignore.
