What I'm Thankful For This Year

I'm thankful that at this moment, almost 4 pm PT, 7 pm ET, there are still 84 users and 514 guests online, celebrating the passage of the 1207 amendment today and plotting to make sure it passes Dec. 1.

Before everybody starts heading off to various Thanksgiving gatherings and away from their computers (I hope!), I'd like to suggest that talking at the dinner table about the events of today and the Federal Reserve could easily educate 10 times more people in a day.

I leave it to you to judge what will work with your tribe, but I would think it interesting to ask whether they think the Federal Reserve should give special deals on money to foreign banks or nations, as an ice-breaker.

Meanwhile, I'm grateful for the Daily Paul, and for feeling like our numbers are growing.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I live, I love, I walk my own path

There are no sure things in this life. I am fortunate to walk my own path. When the naysayers go left, I go right, when the crowd goes right, I go left. I am the army of one that sometimes meets a fellow traveler and we unite for what is right. Not my view of right nor yours. It is the right we fellow travellers feel deep within our being. I am proud to say we have a tremendous group of fellow travellers finding our own way and I am thankful to have found each of you. May each of you have a great thanksgiving holiday this year and many more to follow.

Peace my friends.Happy Thanksgiving

I'm thankful

to Jesus and our Holy Father for every night that I go to sleep comfortable, happy and healthy in my own abode with my immediate and extended families tucked away healthy and happy in theirs. I'm thankful for likeminded people, friends, neighbors, virtual and here at Daily Paul which is a cross of the previously mentioned. I'm thankful for Dr. Paul's outstanding example of integrity, truth, honor, fortitude, love, professionalism, and dependability. At first I always got sweaty palms when he was on tv. Then I learned to trust that he would do great every single time. I am extremely thankful for gradually finding people who deserve the kind of respect we give Dr. Paul. I hope that grows and grows. I am very, very thankful I have given my life to Christ, because this would be very hard to take otherwise. I am thankful that Texas is serious about secession.

I am thankful for the DP and it's members

Even though we may sometime vehemently disagree with one another, that's one of the purposes of this forum. And even through the arguments and the passion, in the end somehow we manage to return to civility with one another. And although it does happen, it is rare that I read instances of name calling and insults toward other posters.

On the Rand issue, I've said my peace here:

Though some did not agree with me, others did and I thank all of you for your views. I thank Michael Nystrom for the effort and money he's put into making this website one of the top Liberty forums on the Web. I thank Dr. Ron Paul for his tireless efforts on behalf of us and this great Republic we have been blessed by our Creator to be a part of. And I ultimately I thank our Creator for life, liberty and the wonderful opportunities He gives us in this short life on Earth.

I wish all of you a blessed and safe Thanksgiving.

I am grateful to all my ancestors who would eventually find

their way to this country. A country seething with destiny, based upon a 'final' resolution to abolish bondage in all its myriad forms while ensuring liberty for all.

I am deeply grateful to Dr.Paul for all his noble efforts to penetrate the vipers' nest where this bondage operates and without which peace in our would have had its way.

I am so thankful to the Continental Congress 2009, for all the efforts made and the resolutions that were arrived at to help bring our country out of the current chaos.

And finally, I am so grateful to Michael Nystrom for his genius at creating such a forum for free thought the likes of which no where to be found than here where those of us seekers of truth and dreamers of freedom have found fellowship.

I am thankful for finding TRUTH in a world of lies

For my children finding spouses that are their best friend. For my healthy and happy grandchildren. For Ron Paul who sets an example of love and peace and PATIENCE and persistence in the face of all obstacles. And for all of you here at Daily Paul...... yes, even Fedor! hahaha

You are all so much my family now. My time on Daily Paul is sometimes the only thing that keeps me sane.

In the coming year, let's all be an example of the PEACE and TOLERANCE that we want to see in the whole world.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

You nailed it...

I hate to borrow your words, but I too am thankful for finding truth (or more truth anyway) in a world of lies, also for the existence of the defense of liberty for all (and, of course, this wonderful site too)!

What a beautiful

timely thread. I have so much to be thankful for and discovering Ron Paul and this site two years ago would be close to the top. The reason, all my life I thought something was wrong and I just couldn't put my finger on it. When I heard Ron Paul speak it was a magic moment. BINGO! It all came together. Remember, THIS party is just getting started. We are in on the ground floor. We will learn and grow in wisdom that will empower us to do great things for Liberty. My we all have a restful Thanksgiving so we can focus clearly on our prize to AUDIT THE FED.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

I am thankful for what I have. That includes distance between myself and my family of origin, who have proven themselves not only to be asleep, but detrimental to my efforts. For my "politics" they do not speak to me.
Shall I compromise? I get that all the time. "Compromise" means I am essentially not allowed to speak. It is not "politics" to me, it is my life. It is the world, it is what is REAL. But the kicker here would be that it would not matter if I were willing to compromise. They know where I stand, and therefore I am not welcome.
She believes I am kept away because I am "anti-government."
He is a Mason, and I called him out.
You do that math.
Yes, I will relish the very small gathering this Thanksgiving. It will be people I trust without reservation. And I can fill a table with them - there is something to be grateful for.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

I'm sorry for how you're being treated, Paul4won.

And I send you a hug. I am thankful for you. It's a hard path to be a truthseer and teller.

Here is something to inspire you, from a book called 365 Tao: Daily Meditations by Deng Ming-Dao:

"If you spend a long period of time in study and self-cultivation, you will enter Tao. By doing so, you also enter a world of extraordinary perceptions. You experience unimaginable things, receive thoughts and learning as if from nowhere, perceive things that could be classified as prescient. Yet if you try to communicate what you experience, there is no one to understand you, no one who will believe you. The more you walk this road, the farther you are from the ordinary ways of society. You may see the truth, but you will find that people would rather listen to politicians, performers, and charlatans.

If you are known as a follower of Tao, people may seek you out, but they are seldom the ones who will truly understand Tao. They are people who would exploit Tao as a crutch. To speak to them of the wonders you have seen is often to engage in a futile bout of miscommunication. That is why it is said that those who know do not speak.

Why not simply stay quiet? Enjoy Tao as you will. Let others think you are dumb. Inside yourself, you will know the joy of Tao's mysteries. If you meet someone who can profit by your experience, you should share. But if you are merely a wanderer in a crowd of strangers, it is wisdom to be silent."

Happy Thanksgiving!

How wonderful... thank you for this
