Beside Ron Paul Who else would you choose from the current republican crop

If you had to choose some one beside Ron Paul of the current crop who would it be?
I think Palin is closest to RP.

Judge Napolitano
Gary Johnson, Chuck Baldwin
Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow
Why anoint one? I think
Why anoint one? I think you're a preacher carpavel and that's fine, but this DPer doesn't need a candidate shephard. If I had the money and the time, I'd voraciously support every liberty or near-liberty candidate running for Congress for the increidble improvement it would make if they won. Not an attack on the OP but people, this isn't a club or a game or American Idol judging... this is America and its future. If you support smaller government, free enterprise, humble foreign policy, I don't care if you're a Scientologist from the Bull Moose Party and your favorite music is The Archies, you'll get my money and vote. I'm not marrying you (candidate) for God's sake, I'm voting for you.
The first 5 million supporters of Dr. Paul are 'early adopters.' The next 10 million will require a modified approach.
oh boy. palin, wow. no way
oh boy. palin, wow. no way man.
Palin's a far cry from a Constitutional Conservative
As nice as she looks and sounds, her policies are no different than Bush. I heard her on Rush Limbaugh the other day and I could just imagine Bush saying the same things...impose sanctions on Iran, send more troops to Afghanistan, and lest we forget the socializing of Alaska's oil revenue to "all Alaskans" because those natural resources belonged to everyone, not just the people that worked to get it out of the ground.
I think there is some hope in influencing Gov. Sanford, Gov. Perry, and Senator DeMint
Gary Johnson
or the Judge.
'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul
Easy choice...
Judge Napolitano FTW!
Napolitano...and Colin Powell if he ever wants to
I wonder if Colin Powell will start to get more political?
There is no worse tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want merely because you think it would be good for him.

No Powell, blood on hands.
Powell convinced or allowed undecides to give Bush the benefit of the doubt on the Iraq War part II. No how, NO WAY!!! He could have run in '96, when they dragged Dole out. He could have run then, he didn't want to get shot. He's finished in more ways than one.
Me
I was thinking out of all the republicans I know that I would be the number one choice for el presidente.
Gary Johnson
From what I have read about him, he is the ONLY other person at this time I would wholeheartedly vote for.
Judge Napolitano
Ron Paul and Judge Napolitano. A constitution ticket that you could be proud of. The liberty platform is defeat healthcare, expose the
FED, and bring the troops home. Without success on these issues, a deflationary depression is ahead which frankly may be the only way we get the above.
why must it be a Republican?
it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
I would love to see Ron Paul with:
Chuck Baldwin
Ralph Nader
Cynthia McKinney
any of those--
none of them are Republican--
But they all love the constitution--
it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
out of the green party, i
out of the green party, i liked david cobb quite a bit. he teamed up with michael badnarik more than once in the 2004 election.
All of those
...and Michelle Bachman too
...not so much.
...not so much.

Ron Paul 2012!
Gary Johnson, Paul Brown, Jeff Flake, Tom McClintock, maybe
Paul Ryan and Mike Pence. To be honest I don't think any of these except for Johnson would stand a chance. I'm hoping Ventura runs as an Independent or someone else does that I'm not thinking of.

Palin? You've got to be kidding! She's easy on the eyes, but
that doesn't qualify her to be president. She is for both wars, and seems quite inept. She couldn't even tell Couric what newspapers she reads. She could have at least said the Wassila Times or the Penny Saver.

I wouldn't choose a Republican or a Democrat. Period.

Ron Paul 2012!
Would someone educate me on this.
Is the DP for Republicans only? If it is I guess I'll have to quit coming here. The main heading here states "Dedicated to restoring Constitutional government to the United States of America". Am I bound to only one party or another?
No.....
it's mainly for people that follow and support Ron Paul and his principles......you don't have to agree with everything Paul says....I don't.....but I support him none the less. I'm far from a Republican but I support Paul so much that I actually became a delegate as a Republican just to vote for him in the primaries......YES.....sometimes you have to play the game in order to advance or create real progress.

Palin? Needs some cheese with your koolaid?
War monger.
War monger.
War monger.
War monger.
Wow - she is cute and all, but really? Ready for a few million more dead bodies over some T&A?
She said "Ron Paul is cool." She did not endorse him. She has not done ANYTHING for liberty, but she sure can self-promote!
WAKE UP carpavel!
Oh, and there are no politicians that I believe will fix this, regardless of their desire.

Why are you pushing a substitute for
Ron Paul? Why would we WANT a substitute? If we ask, he will run, and this time he will win ... vote fraud won't work this time as too many will support him and know that they are no longer alone in their support or that they are the minority.

I hope you have a plan B
I would love for all that to be true. Vote fraud was obvious last time, and we did nothing. They own the media, they own the printing presses so when they go shopping for candidates, they can pretty much buy almost anyone. If they cannot buy the candidate, they can buy a person to run against them and buy a smear campaign to ruin them and I suspect they even do dirtier deeds than that. (The guy who challenged the CIA agent for our congressional seat just dropped out. Seems he has developed some sort of health problems.) IN my state, NONE of the "liberty lovers" have declared a candidacy for anything. Zero, zip, nadda. Everything we gained in 2008 will be gone by 2012, cuz in 2010 we are handing everything back to the neocons. I hope other states are faring better, but I would bet this is not the only place it is happening. And IF by some miracle we find honest people to run, and they are actually viable candidates, and the media does not smear them, and they say something like "I support a full investigation into 9-11" will you support them? How about "I believe a woman's reproductive system is between her and her mate, her doctor, and her Creator. The media has created this wonderful divide and conquer issue, but the government has NO legitimate place in this discussion" would you vote for them?
No, everyone here made it crystal clear LAST election. Ron Paul is the only candidate that can get supported by this movement. Why don't I run, for instance? Because I am the candidate described above, and have already been made keenly aware how much it scares people that I will NOT back down on 9-11 this election. They will hardly even invite me to events any more. No, I do NOT show up in an "Inside Job" t-shirt (I do not even own one) and my "official" stance is "Why will people not defend TRUTH? Why is it offensive for me to ask QUESTIONS?" For that, the LIBERTY LOVERS around here treat me like a leper.
So, if the "good" people are afraid of candidates who support TRUTH, where is this fairy tale ending of yours going to come from?

I wrote my State Rep about those damnable, hackable electronic voting machines. He advised me to contact the PA Bureau of Elections. I did, but it got me nowhere...
I am STILL chompin' at the bit for a return to paper ballots, hand counted...

You think Palin is closet to Ron Paul?
Are you being serious? She was for the bailout. She's for the war. I must confess.........I think the vast majority of Republicans are horrible people.....hypocrytes at every turn....Ron Paul is a gem....but the rest? Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Peter Schiff.......those are individuals I would stand behind. The rest of the Republicans make me sick.

My favorite typo today...
I am not sure what being a "closet to Ron Paul" is, but it sounds about right somehow... lol!
He is the whole room, she is a tiny chamber with no lights, perhaps?
