Rand- give my money back!

0 votes

Rand,

I donated $25 to your campaign under the impression that you, if eleced, would support the Constitutional principles I hold dear. I had hoped that you would keep to the idea of a limited government, non-foreign intervention and the end of all unConstitutional and ungodly practices of our govt. especially the "wars".

Your positions on the people being held in Guantanamo are clearly unConstitutional. Even beyond that, you want those men to be tried by the military in a closed-to-the-public-trial and not on US soil. Evil is always done in secret. Truth is open and visible for all to hear and see.

Your interest in having that war-monger Palin help your campaign was another indication to me that you're just not what I had hoped for.

Therefore, I respectfully (as they say) ask you return the $25 I gave to your campaign.

I'm holding my breathe

I please ask that no one bumps this stupid post again. If you want to read it please feel free but do not respond. This is just black and white thinking with no substance.

Let this poster be the only one to bump it from now to eternity. That will show his divisiveness.

Look In The Mirror

Everything you post is just that. You can't handle that the one WE anointed in Kentucky is now a neo-con. The only difference between us is I can see he is wrong on the issue and you can't.

Blowback at work

Every since this big hullabaloo here on DP, looks like today's donations are picking up.

LOL.

I looked at randpaulgraphs today but it does not clearly reflect the counter on his campaign site.

Keep it up fools!!!

Republican Lite

I've always said this was a republican lite site. Rand Paul seems to be making my case. Keep on giving to the lesser of two evils fools!

Look in the mirror

A fool is a fool is a fool. Your still on here so therefore you must also be a fool. Or do you want to open your mouth again and say what you really are.

I don't often get angry but your comment was disparaging to everyone on the Daily Paul. You sir/ma'am are disdainful. There is no room for this type of comment.

1976-1982 USMC, You can thank me for my service by voting for Dr. Ron Paul, President 2012

Who?

I was talking to your buddy who called us fools. I wasn't talking to the whole daily paul though many are heading that way.

label doesn't really fit ...

There are lots of conflicting views with what the Republican Party has become on this site....but I would not describe it as "lite." I would describe it as getting back to core values. If by "lite" you mean distancing ourselves from the neo-cons and Republicans in the pockets of the lobbyists and controlled by corporatists.....I might accept that label....though "just" and "traditional" seem like better choices....

Lite

What I really mean Matt is they still seem to like their big military but want small government. The same people who don't like big government somehow think the military isn't a part of government. I don't like the federal government and that includes their military, but no offense to the ones on the ground. This movement is turning into the republican revolution of 1994 with Newt Gingrich and company which was a total farce. Ron Paul has said before that they were never serious about limited government and neither are many on this site.

I see your point rollo...but....

The way I look at it is this: Yes, the military IS part of government and accounts for a gigantic chunk of big government spending. However, national defense (when approached smartly and constitutionally) is a very valid role and possibly the most important role of our Federal government. Is the "military industrial complex" out of control - yes. Are we fighting unjust wars - yes. Are private companies war profiteering - yes. All of that is wrong and needs to be stopped. But I am a believer in a strong national defense and that equals having a robust military ready to handle the challenges we might face.

I agree... Newts "contract with America" was a joke. I cringe when I see loud mouth Tea Party goers who support guys like Newt, Rush, Levin, etc. In my mind they are perverting the message. But I think allot of the people on here are pretty genuine about small government.

...

just out curiousity.. What is your solution to that issue?

Bring them to trial on US soil?

Release them to other countries?

Provide our enemies picked up around the world the same rights afforded to US citizens?

It seems to me that his solution makes the most sense. I dont like Guantanamo either, but at least he wants a solution. Thats what leadership is.. the ability to make tough decisions.

Ill gladly replace the $25 you want back.

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

Hmm

Would a troll be so stupid as to out himself in-front of the critical eyes and minds here on the Daily Paul?

Well, there you have it folks. The enemy has no IDEA who they just stepped into the ring with. This is like the Barr day's all over again.

this is a joke...right?

this is a joke...right?

Um......

Why in the world are you writing a letter to Rand Paul and posting it here? What's your agenda? This is the DailyPaul......Rand doesn't open his mail here. Obviously you want the posters here to read it and comment on it. Try writing Rand.

baubaublacksheep

Rs, why so shy....

Just come out and say it.... "GO GRAYSON!!!!!"

You know, not too long ago

You know, not too long ago Republicans who didn't vote for McCain were more or less told "Just come out and say it.... 'GO OBAMA!!!!!", even when those Republicans voted for a third party candidate that best represented their principles.

lol

You hit the nail on the head.

The NeoCons

have been very successful in labeling Ron Paul and others like him as being isolationist and weak on terror. Yes..it is all a hoax, but it has worked. The sheeple are fools. By taking away this issue from the NeoCons, Rand Paul has given himself and real chance to win. Once elected....Rand Paul can attack the spending...or the funding of the wars. Rand can accomplish the goal of ending the wars and even more important, he can actually win. I think it is the smart play on Rand's part. Keep your powder dry and don't get distracted. Rand will be and do just fine.

In other words, lie.

In other words, lie.

Ron Paul 2012!

It's your money

so you should be cautious how you spend it.

You have to consider the

You have to consider the political implications of what he's doing. The point is for him to get elected, ideally so he can limit the government spending (thus stopping unconstitutional policies).

Reaching out to Palin (and others) is smart politically. Alienating people, dividing the party etc will never work.

Reaching out to Palin is

Reaching out to Palin is smart? How? The party is already divided. What good is it to get elected if you don't stand for anything?

Jason

Ron Paul 2012!

I agree! Give us our money back!

Fraud, Fraud, FRAUD.

Rand Paul knows full well he is running on the coattails of his dad's positions. If he does not share his dad's positions, then lets get them all out into the air. If he is NOT a libertarian Republican, lets here him say it now.

To do less is simply Fraud. Which of course is what every other politician does and why we had thought he would be different like his dad.

RS

Patriot Dear friend in Liberty

I am also shocked but perhaps Rand took this stance ONLY to insure his victory(votes from neo-cons)...politics is a chess match.

At this moment I don't know what really he thinks in his heart.

But as I said in the past we would have to elect 300+ patriots to Clean The House....money send to Oath Keepers for the direct Care-Info packages for soldiers is much better spend.

How about

someone start a PAC to donate $25 to Rand Paul every time RS posts more ridiculous dribble?

Your comment is "rediculous dribble"

Keep it up RS...

This is pathetic

Mike Bryant over at Too Kooky for Kentucky is eating this up. Evidently, he has a link to the Mises Institute referencing the category "Rand Paul turns out to be a neocon". It seems that everybody there has turned against him and won't give him another dime. Do you people want to help him win or not? I don't live in Kentucky, but still believe that Rand Paul would be the best US Senator that we could possibly elect next year. I'm still donating next moneybomb.
