Washington Independent: The Limits of Ron Paul-ism

"Rand Paul, who has surprised a lot of people by becoming a real contender for a U.S. Senate seat in Kentucky, bows to political reality — he’s blasting the Obama administration’s policy on terror trials and proposing to 'try, convict, and lock up terrorists in Guantanamo.'
Paul’s father, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), is one of the very few Republicans pushing for the closure of Gitmo. The Rand Paul press release was pointed out to me by a supporter of the elder Paul, who’s furious that libertarian-minded donors are flocking to the younger Paul."

He must have had that meeting with McConnell.

Rand needs to get out in front of this,
no dodging; He must take back the moral high ground and never again give an inch to the mediocrities that want to pull him down and every other non-establishment candidate as well.
I'm not furious,
I was disappointed. I have faith that RAND will clarify this so we all understand better. I saw a youtube of RAND speaking and he understands the situation and that is the main thing. So, I am optimistic that this in the end will turn out positive for us all. We are like HOT METAL being forged into something positive, sharp, and strong. We WILL get through this and whatever else is in our path.
