I don't think you even understand what happens to the money if you DON'T earmark bills. Maybe educating yourself should be your first priority and fiscal conservative second. LOL, it broke my heart when ron paul earmarked his bills, OMG!

If we insist on supporting candidates only if they are exactly like us, but we are disinclined to run for office ourselves, then we have rendered ourselves politically ineffective. We each have a point at which the trade-offs are unacceptable and we find we cannot support a candidate. Is 50% agreement good enough for you? How about 75%? How about 90%?

If you insist on 100% purity in food, you'll starve to death. You'll suffocate if you refuse to breathe air that contains the slightest impurity. And you will be politically neutered if your litmus test is too stringent.

I intend to support Rand because I think he will be a good influence in the US Senate, not to mention voting my way on most issues.

Again, for the sake of argument, can you please take 911 being an inside job out of this picture? Please, just for the sake of argument: Lets just say that they are terrorists (like 80% of the country believes, so can you blame Rand for that?); has any (declared war prisoner) war prisoner been moradarized before? Did we take the Nazis to court? NO! We had military tribunals! Ok, so Rand has already said many times (you can read the quotes on Grayson's website) that if they are just regular people like taxi drivers etc, that they should be taken back to their countries. Do you know how many people we have released from Guantanamo that ended up being suicide bombers (more than 50% thus far)? So, they were released and then innocent people were killed. Does that make you happy? Now, we can argue whether it was right for them to be taken in the first place and you probably would have a good argument, but lets just leave that out for now. The bottom line is that Rand is an honest man and he is doing what he thinks will protect us. The other bottom line is that he doesnt support our empiric war on terror and that should be enough for most! But we do need to stand together for this cause, brother! We have a government, dont we? We vote (in majorities to win) and thats how things get done so if we want real change, we have to stand together. What is wrong with people?!

It is not self righteous to stand for what is right, it is right. Grayson may win or lose, but evil wins if good men turn evil "for the greater good." Old stunt, don't fall for it.
