Need Help - Stats to convince pro healthcare bill friend that its bad!

I'm going round and round this morning with a friend that insists that his access to healthcare will improve, and the cost will go down, dramatically if this bill passes. I've been trying to tell him that those in Canada and Britain come to us because their healthcare sucks and that more people die of the big diseases, heart attacks etc, there than they do here because they are restricted access to the care. He of course, wants proof. Can anyone help with references please? I've read it all in the past but can't for the life of me remember where I've seen it.
