Convince the Uncommitted
Am I the only one that realized this? When you open up the .pdf file of the registered delegates, it lists all of their information, including their addresses. How about we write a hand written letter to all of the uncommitted delagates, maybe send them a DVD...

I mean, WE CAN TARGET THE EXACT PEOPLE THAT WE NEED TO GET THE MESSAGE TO!!!! (sorry about the caps) but this is important. It would be so much easier than mass mailing letters to 100,000 Iowans (thats important, don't get me wrong) but here, we have the advantage of knowing exactly who is going to decide the outcome of this states primary, and we know how to get in touch with them.
Im not saying spam them with mail, that would be bad, but if each of those uncommitted got a well informed, hand written, heart fealt letter from one of two of us, and got a dvd along with it. I really think we could turn a lot of them in our direction.
What do you guys think.

What happens when we win overwhelmingly in this setup?
What happens when all of the "uncommitted" voters choose Dr. Paul by an overwhelming margin? Does the party have some sort of set-up or ability to have a do-over or do something weird? I figure that a large portion of the undecideds are really Paul supporters not declaring so that they aren't excluded and so that we can win... If he wins 500 of the delegates, some of the higher uppers might claim that it was not the appropriate result?

Explanation for NCMarc
The delegates are required to vote for the winner. However, if there's a problem, then they will vote again and not required to vote for the winner. They can vote for whomever they want. This is why the campaign is pushing so hard for us to become delegates. We're pretty certain that the votes are going to be questioned and put to delegates to decide. We NEED delegates. They will decide this election, more than likely.

Can someone explain?
Can someone explain how this works or what it does for us? Don't people still get to vote? Or do they not in West Virginia?
I always thought that after the election was held, the delegates were divided up based on how many votes various districts got. Is that not the case?
Why do they pick delegates before the primary? I guess I just don't understand. Having never really been involved with the poliiical process, it's no wonder that only the anointed become elected.

Procedures vary widely by state...however I've heard that in West Virginia the power is solely in the delegates. The primary ballot is just a pony show.

Keep going. Personally, I am uncomfortable counting on the uncommitted Republicans to come through for Ron Paul after my experience with the Texas straw poll.

Somewhere I had read that delegates for RP were registering as uncommitted on purpose, to avoid being shuffled aside in some way.
So the real story is with these 630. Hope most are for RP.

This is odd because the fewest Ron Paul donors per million come from my state, Mississippi and West Virginia.
I believe West Virginia,
I believe West Virginia, along with Mississippi, are two of the poorest states in the nation (per capita income.)
