The Blimp Cannot Fail!

Sorry for the somewhat hysterical sounding title, I know I have been critical of alarmist/negative posts before, but I feel this is important.

The blimp is starting to get mainstream media play and to fail to hit our fundraising goals now would be disastrous. It will be all to easy to ridicule the grassroots if this doesn't work out, just think of the Hindenburg analogies that hack MSM pundits will be trotting out (I shudder to think of them).

I know some people have problems with aspects of the plan, from the message on the blimp, to whether or not it is a good use of funds, etc., but we really have to look at the big picture.

The bottom line is the blimp will bring almost constant media coverage right up until Dec. 16th. This is my optimistic scenario for the next ten days.

Dec. 9th: Univision debate. Hopefully Dr. Paul uses this to really play up the fact that he is the ONLY Republican candidate who was right about Iran! Not to mention Iraq. This should get some good mainstream press for the next couple of days.

Dec. 12th: Des Moines Register Debate. After a couple of days of Iowa events and hopefully some MSM love, this is another great chance to make some waves and keep Ron in the news.

Dec. 14th: PBS Interview. I know this isn't exactly Meet the Press, but a lot of people watch PBS, and this will give Ron a chance to talk some more about the Tea Party, the blimp, etc.

Dec. 16th: Hopefully this is as huge as we all expect it to be. The first money bomb was big news, if we exceed Nov. 5th the combination of the money bomb, the blimp, and the Tea Party Rally in Boston could combine to be an absolutely HUGE story! I am talking headline news, not a ticker item.

I know this is somewhat wishful thinking, but it is far from a pipe dream, the only thing that can stop us is failing to fund the blimp in time. After everything we have accomplished so far, raising another $60,000 by Friday the 7th should be a piece of cake!

I don't mean to bash people who have problems with the blimp or be negative, but to not donate simply because of problems with Google or whatever is pretty lame. Just look at what we have already accomplished if you get discouraged! We have gotten past a near blackout by the mainstream media, rigged debates, accusations of spamming, wire fraud, etc., constant attacks by pundits, and a general bias against change in this country. I can't speak for everyone but I know that most Ron Paul supporters will do whatever it takes to get him elected. Lets get past the infighting and negativity and make one last push!
