Controversial legislation gives police sweeping powers of 'pre-emptive' arrest and extends custodial sentences for acts of civil disobedience
Under the new powers, Danish police will be able to detain people for up to 12 hours whom they suspect might break the law in the near future. Protesters could also be jailed for 40 days under the hurriedly drafted legislation dubbed by activists as the "turmoil and riot" law. The law was first announced on 18 October.

The place to protest is at the MSM offices
in major centres around the world: TV, newspapers, big internet players, talk shows ... Police can't protect them all, especially if the protests are
done on a moments' notice.
The camera/news crews have to go in and out of doors with their cameras and mikes, don't they.

correct. If a peaceful protest is made unlawful...people will resort to other tactics to assert their authority in some other way. History is clear on this.

On the bright side, a government that outlaws protesting (this effectively does) is going to be an example to other governments when those who would be protesting have to gather in private and they'll come up with ways to express their outrage that will make the government sorry.
